Remarks

I cracked JEE(Main) in 2019 and got 86 percentile . Luckily, I got National Institute of Technology (NIT), Durgapur in counselling , but this college only offered the Bio-Technology course, which I am not interested for. So, I cancelled my admission on NIT, Durgapur and thinking about to take admission on JISCE, Kalyani.

I choose the B.tech civil engineering course because I like it. I have so much interest in it. In our college there are so many knowledgeable faculties and they are so friendly too. Their teaching really helps us.

Many more companies offers internship to us. These are really helpful to a student in their 4 year course. Such types of internship makes a student more matured, gives more knowledge and make a student more punctual.

Placement Experience

Our college provides campasing after the end of 4th years means after 8th semester. Many famous companies visit our college like Simplex, TCS and many more. Almost 80% students get placed after placement. After the completion of my BTech degree , I want to do job.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't get any scholarships till now from college. But, our college offers many scholarship to the students who are in proverty but talented.Our college also gives scholarship to the female students.

Campus Life

College campus is so beautiful. It is extra-ordinary. There is a tample too. Our college arrenged Tech fest every year, named 'JIS-TECH' in the months of march. There are so many books available from many publications and many authors in our college library

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I choose this college because this college was good in among all the average colleges in West Bengal leaving the top colleges. The placement is also good. So for all this reason I choose this college. I wanted to go for heritage but my name didn't came in cutoff.
