Remarks

My admission process was like when my number came in 5th cutoff in swami shraddha nand college I rushed towards it next day because I couldn't wait anymore for some luxurious colleges, it was a dream to study in DU since childhood but when I went through all processes like an assessment of TC (transfer certificate), 12th mark sheet, 10th mark sheet, character certificate, OBC certificate, your father's income certificate (not necessary but you should carry), your aadhaar card, migration certificate from school, all these photocopy documents should be self-attested (your signature below), and don't mention the date below your signature. And yes very important thing don't forget your admission registration form at the time of admission and no self-assessment required in that. When I completed all these processes in the evening payment option came on a portal I paid the amount (fee) and my admission was completed. I went to Shyam Lal because the Commerce faculty is awesome and it's not in the outer part of Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I choose BCom(Hons.) because I passed my 12th with commerce with maths so I'll definitely choose the honors course because it has more advantage than program courses and not much hard also. My commerce department is really awesome we both have to accept that because all the teachers are highly intelligent (Ph.D. teachers) and any query any time they will be ready to solve it without any hesitation. Students are also very kind and good in nature, no ragging type environment will be seen in our college, and our college follows it very very strictly. Coming to exams internals are taken 1-2 months before exams and it is compulsory to pass in all of them, exams aren't lengthy unless you have prepared from 10 years. 10 years will be very helpful not pass but also to get very good marks.

Internships Opportunities

5

When you get admitted in college there will be so many societies one of them will be placement cell society get enroll yourself in that and there will be WhatsApp group of students make sure you join them earlier, in the group every time any type of internships are circulated, so make sure yourself which type of internship you wanted to join and simply enroll yourself. So groups and society are important for that. And there are unpaid(NGO's) and paid internship are also available were you get certification in both. Stipend Internship can be 2000 per month and 10000 per month also and it can be based on ability also so make sure yourself well prepared before the internship. Right now I am doing an internship at small finance banking from Internshala at 8000 per month and doing 2 months internship. One thing I wanted to make clear that our college has tie-up with Internshala so don't worry about our college doesn't provide internship opportunities.

Placement Experience

3.5

Don't know much about the placement of our college and to be honest I am also very concerned about the placement of our college. But yes placement is there from our college but what's the highest placement I also don't know about that. Our college teachers also make the effort that their students get placed in the right company for that you have to make a better connection with teachers and prepare yourself also very well like in every yearly exam. If you have to get placed from college then you have to make sure your overall percentage should be 85 above and of course, there should be some relevant skills in you. For skills, you may take online courses from Internshala and any other platform, they provide you a certificate which will be reflected in your resume and create a big impact. If you are not placed with college placement don't worry Internshala is a big platform for job appointments you'll get a better placement than your college if you have skills. Skills are very important. So focus on that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure of our college is when I took admission in 2019 it was 14000 then in 2020 covid times it raised to 16300 approx something which very disappointed me from there decision we protested for fees hike but no action was taken, at least they should understand covid times are going on everyone was locked in there home, there is no source of income classes are going on online there are big crises of money not everyone can afford this huge amount but they didn't understand this and took all money, this part of my college disappointed me a lot. Hope they'll not do it in 3rd year.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the campus is awesome I remember those days when we were not allowed to take phones in school but in college annual fest in our college takes place in the month of January after 26 Jan. I remember a famous Haryanavi singer came on that day, after that next year no functions held because of Covid I hope all things get normal as earlier soon then we can witness functions and all. And yes our college was held with freshers party also with 50 rupees coupons also, don't know about others but I really enjoyed that day. Coming to our library one pro tip I wanna give to my juniors that don't buy books just rush to the library I get back the books which you want, most of the books are available in our library, so I don't feel someone have to spend money to buy books.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
