IIIT Kalyani (The Upcoming Giant)

After JEE Mains 2019 results, I had got 97.3 percentile. While JOSAA Counseling, I had applied to IIIT Kancheepuram, IIIT Guwahati, IIIT Gwalior but there I was getting ECE program. At last, I decided to continue with CSE in IIIT Kalyani as I had to do the CSE Program. Quota: I belonged to the general category so no Quota Admission Criteria: Individuals have to give JEE Mains and get at least 96 percentile to get admission here. Roughly, your rank should be under 45K. Counseling Day: Individual have to gibe bunch of documents including JEE Mains Score Card, JOSAA Letter, 10th, and 12th Marksheet along with Aadhar Card, etc

Reason: I had a very high interest in Computer Science and Engineering as I had done some earlier coding in my school days and doing CSE from IIIT is just like icing on the cake. Ratio: 1:72 Qualification: Most of the faculties have done MTech, Ph.D. from IIT's. As far qualification is concerned I would say faculties are highly educated and experienced. Exams: We have mid sem and end-semester examinations. For examination, I would say if individuals have attended class lectures then all is just fine. Before mid sem and end sem, we also have surprise tests in between.

Internships companies include Maq Softwares, Capgemini, OneShot, Jio, Sigmoid, etc. These companies come in 3rd year the second semester. Normally the stipend offered is from 20000 to 35000. Some students also go to off-campus opportunities. Some of our seniors have done internships in Hike, Gojek, Sharechat, etc.

The placement of our college is increasing every year. Since being new IIIT, we have got our permanent Director this year, this would definitely increase our placements stats for sure. Taking about the current scenario, We have the highest package of 17 LPA by JIo and an average package of 7.8 LPA in (2017-21) batch. About 80% of students were placed.

Fee: As it is under the PPP model, the fee is high and the value is nominal. The total Tuition fee is around 792000 INR. Scholarships: Institute offers portals for applying to different scholarships. In the Induction program itself, the college offers loans under SBI. Coming on placements, this year (2017-21) batch got 17LPA as the highest package and an average package of 7.8 LPA.

Since our institution is new, as of now we don't have any fest. We had planned for fest RENESA 2020 but due to the covid pandemic, all things came to halt. Books: Institute has a library which has books, newspapers, magazines. The library has more than 4 thousand books. It covers course books as well books for competitive examinations like GATE, CAT, GRE, etc. Classrooms are digitally advanced and are fully air-conditioned. We have a 24-hour WIFI connection in classes, Labs. Sports and Extracurricular: Institute encourages sports activities. We have all the sports equipment. We participate Inter IIIT competition at IIIT Jabalpur. Clubs: We have Google Developer Student Club, Free and Open Source Group (IIIT Kalyani FOSC), Coding group (Alcoholic), Music (Symphony), Dance (Grooves), and devs group (noobDEV).

The hostel registration process is easy. Along with the Insitute fee, individuals are required for submitting hostel fees and that's it. We have offered individual wardrobe, chair, study table, bed. We have regular cleaning of our rooms. Washrooms are properly washed daily. We are also offered a washing machine for washing our clothes.
