Internships, Reviews and Rating process of college

The admission process of our college is controlled by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board and the JIS group. Students have to crack either the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination or AMPAI Examination conducted by the JIS group. If a student can't crack West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination, he or she can take admission by cracking the AMPAI entrance examination. In the case of the West Bengal joint entrance examination, after declaring the result of the examination, students have to apply to the govt. site for counseling. There are three counseling facilities are available. If in the first counseling, he or she gets GNIPST, they can take admission, and in case of any problem, they can directly contact the admission cell of GNIPST. If he or she does not get this college in their first counseling, they can wait up to third counseling and if they get this institute, he or she can take entry in this college. There are lots of counseling steps are available.

The entire course is of 4 years and contains 8 semesters. Each semester has 6 months' time for completion. Students should complete the whole syllabus within 6 months. There were four internal exams held by the college between each semester's final exam. Seminar and grand viva are also part of each semester exam. In grand viva external teachers come to the college and students should face their questions during the grand viva. More or fewer faculty members are doctorate and they are very helpful. Each student has one specific mentor who helps them in their project work and the students can share their doubts and any problem with their mentor. Not only face facing discussion teachers are also provide study materials by hardcopy and also by softcopy through Google classroom, komodo app, etc. During lockdown they have taken our class via video conference and Google classroom, they also help us to solve assignment and motivate us to do various innovative things.

When the students are in the final year of this institution go for internships. The teachers have informed them about many paid or non-paid internships of various reputable companies in West Bengal or outside. The interviews are totally controlled by the placement cell of the GNIPST. The teachers are very much helpful and supportive for the internships of the final year students. They help us a lot by providing notice about internship details, criteria of the companies. We are very much glad to get this opportunity from our college. In the case of the rating system, out of 5, GNIPST should get 5.

The placements of this institute are very nice. Every year many famous companies come to our college for interviews like Cipla, Wipro, Nestle, Eli Lilly, etc. The specific teachers appointed for this purpose, collect information about the interview and circulates it amongst the students and they also help us to crack the interviews by taking the MCQ test and giving some easy mathematical problems and their solutions. More or fewer students of this institute crack an interview and get jobs in those reputable companies. Teachers help the students how to appear in the interview and they also prepare the students for the coming interview. The teachers are very helpful in this institution.

Our college has a feasible fee structure. This fee structure is very much necessary for continuing our lab, Project work, and different cultural programs organized by our college. Otherwise, there are some problems to proceed with these activities. Our lab contains much costly equipment, glassware, chemicals. We also have a library, where more or less all kinds of reference books are available and fees structure is also necessary for this library, for the availability of the new book. I don’t apply for any Scholarships, so I don’t know about the process of getting the scholarship, but some of my friends applied for the scholarship.

The social life of GNIPST is very much standard. There are cultural clubs available in our college. They organize very many cultural events like recitation, solo singing, drama, music, dance, debate quiz, etc. Each and every section has one Student coordinator and one teacher coordinator. This institute has a beautiful and green campus and students feel like 2nd home here. There are many events organized by the college. Different sports tournaments, fast, and other cultural programs organized by students or teachers on our college campus.
