Remarks

I got admission to B.Com. (P) at Shyamlal College but I got a better college as DCAC, So I took admission here. I have taken admission through EWS Quota. Overall, it was a good experience. The college has various societies, so you can have a good time here. The canteen is of decent size and average cleanliness. The ground is also pretty good where there is an arrangement for playing different sports. The only thing that sucks about the college is Admin Staff. The library is centrally air-conditioned where you can go and relax :) I am in my second year, so I have not much idea about placements but if you will do search research, you will find, the college has decent placement records. The teaching staff is very friendly, always happy to help students in any way possible. The college is within walking distance from the nearest metro i.e Bhikajicama Place. Also one thing, the college is connected to two metro lines i.e. yellow and pink.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I did choose the B.Com. (H) because it provides good career options. I dont have much idea about faculty:student ratio but the teachers are quite friendly and helpful in nature. The exams were tiemly conducted but results always comes in late in case of Delhi University. Due to lockdown in our country, we gave only first semester exams, remaining semesters till date are conducted in OBE Mode, i.e. Open Book Examination Mode.

Internships Opportunities

4

I didn't apply for any internships, so I dont have any idea. But there are groups on whatsapp, where the placement cell of college (Broadway) will keep informing you about various opportunities. The intenship offered are of different nature so as to suite the interest of different students.

Placement Experience

5

No idea about placements as I am in the second year, there are various options of employability after completion of course such as further studies in the same discipline. You can also plan for giving various competitive exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for the college are Rs. 8495 for our course but due to lockdown or something, our fees decreased to around Rs. 7000. I don't have much idea about scholarships because I did not apply for the same. One of my friends applied l, he got some amount of around Rs. 50000 for the whole course.

Campus Life

5

Ambrosia is our annual fest, but due to lockdown, it didn't happen in our case. The books available in the library are of older years. The classes are pretty normal, with no smartboard or some sort of advanced things, just basic things. I have no idea about sports and extracurricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
