Remarks

The Admission process was very easy. The college releases merit lists on the basis of which it selects it's students. Before coming to Symbiosis I applied to quite a few colleges like the renowned Fergusson College but I could not get through their Admission procedures and also I heard good reviews about this college so I chose this college. The college provides different quotas for the minority community. All the necessary information about the admission criteria is shared on the college website wherein the college has provided a prospectus, students can go through this and clear their doubts if any. Our college conducts a mentoring sessions for the new batches wherein the newly formed batch students interact with each other and learn more about the Symbiosis Legacy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is properly devised by trained professionals who are well educated and have proper knowledge about their subjects. I chose this course because of my interest in the economy and policy making. The Faculty:Student ratio is about 1:40. The professors are well qualified and very helpful and help throughout the college term and are always happy to help. The term exams are conducted twice a year and the questions tested the applicability and practicality of the subject.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college does provide Placements. The students who are in their Last years can enroll for placements and give written exams and interviews and then get selected in companies like Deloitte, KPMG, etc I have seen many people getting placed in Deloitte. I did not apply for placements as I wish to continue my studies further.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for the BA ECONOMICS degree is provided on the college website and it is somewhere around 20000. The college does provide financial assistance to needy people. As such, I did not enroll for any financial assistance as for me the fees were pretty much affordable. Every detail about scholarships available is there on the college site.

Campus Life

5

Life at Campus is pretty good. The crowd is very chill, helpful, and friendly. The exposure you get here is just next-level fun. There are many fests which are held. Some of the famous ones are Symagine and Symbiz. The college conducts TedX too. There are various clubs in the college which are run by the students like SIFA, Drama Club and many more. We have a library on the campus filled with different kinds of books. Each class is smart classes we have projectors in each class. The college also has a reading hall wherein the students can sit and read. The college has a canteen named SymbiEat wherein you get different kinds of Delicious food.

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
