Entrance Preview

I took IIT JEE, my rank is 537. I have opted this college because it has lot of scope either in technology field or in research field which helps a student to become an perfect iitian.

Internships Opportunities

As i m an undergraduate student of department of electrical engineering we have to do our internships in our third or fourth year.

Placement Experience

As if i have mentioned IIT kharagpur dents has a lot of opportunities in their technical field and also in research field but coming to placement and job opportunities our college stands in fourth place according to last year statistics. More than 450 companies come to our college and there is a lot of scope for placing all the students.

Fees and Financial Aid

In our college we have an SBI bank which offers us the education load. I do not know about the scholarships but there might be one scholarship from state and central government.

Campus Life

In our college we have lots of extra curricular opportunities like sports, debates, workshops. The technical societies like robotics and the cultural societies like prastanam and TSG . We enjoy our life by doing all our friends birthday parties and night outs like that.

Exam Structure

We have totally four exams in an year.For first semester we have two exams as mid semester and end semester as autumn and also mid and end semester as spring semester. And also we have lab testes class tests viva sessions etc. These exams are conducted to check our eligibility criteria and our personality.

Admission

I have got this admission through IIT JEE. First i got my results that i am selected in JEE and they want me to come for document verification in my home town hyderabad and i had my verification process in IIT Hyderabad.

Faculty

My college faculty is as good as they will explain each and every single thing. They wont let us to have any doubts regarding any topic. They always wanted us to be cleared in each and every topic they have covered. They will conduct some class tests and a doubt clearing sessions in which we can directly contact them to clear all our doubts.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
