Remarks
While studying B.Tech in Civil Engineering I came to know about NICMAR. I wanted to learn construction management and I found that NICMAR is one of the best universities India providing the facility of two year PGP in construction management. So I chose this university and applied for this course through online application. I got the admission based on the marks of my GMAT score along with the score of interview and Rating of application form.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as it was most relevant to my requirements. Best things about this course are that subjects are relevant to me and hence are very interesting to me. This course involves the subjects of practical reality and is really providing the proper knowledge for becoming a techno manager. The faculty members Dr. Sanjay Bhoyar, Dr. Amol Pawar,Dr. R. Sathishkuma. They are passionate about their subjects, teaching and making students learn.
Placement Experience
Almost 80-90% of my batchmates got placement from my course. The highest salary package offered for the ACM course was 12 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was somewhere of nearly 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered was approximately 5.5 LPA. Big 5 companies hire students from NICMAR. Tata, Reliance, Savills, etc., also visit here for campus recruitment.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total course fees for two years Post graduate program in Construction Management is near about 14 lakhs which is quitely very high. But I did not face any problem to afford the course fees because my university provides scholarships. There are several scholarship schemes like NICMAR Top Rankers Scholarship, NICMAR Means Based Top Rankers Scholarship, NICMAR Excalibur Award Scholarship, NICMAR Merit Scholarship Schem. I got Means based top Rankers Scholarship as my family income is less than 6lakhs and my Trimester Performance Index (TPI) was above 8.5.
Campus Life
Most facilities are available inside the academic block such as huge classrooms, library, event area, staffrooms, etc. They provide LAN services for students. The compound area includes a basketball court, football ground, cricket ground and tennis area. Basic medical and emergency facilities are available in the college. Besides my university organises many cultural, technical and sports events as well as conferences. There are separate sports fests in the college. Moreover the campus life was good.
