Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is pretty standard. It has been revised in 2010. It covers all major subjects in the first two semesters and comes to core subjects in the remaining semesters. It gives basic knowledge about everything a mechanical engineer must know.
Internships Opportunities
Our college does not provide internship. But a campus placement drive is conducted every year where students can bag jobs in companies of their interest.
Placement Experience
Our college has one of the highest placements in the state. And many prestige is core companies come for placement drives. Companies of all branches of engineering come for placement. Most of the students in the final year are offered jobs through the placement drive.
College Events
There are two technical events in our college. Abhiyanthirki and techkshetra. The arts fest is known as bharatham. The tech fests are the highlights of our campus and are held annually. Most of the colleges in our district come to participate in the tech fest.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible. There are fee waivers for students who are good in academic but are economically backward.The fee is collected annually and comprises of 75000 as tuition fee and 10000 as special fee. Scholarships are also provided for the deserving candidates.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are fee waivers for students with ranks above 3000. But i am not sure about the correct structure. Loan facility is not available in our college.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni of our college provides support to students in form of an association .They help us in many ways along with the management.
Exam Structure
The exam structure is pretty simple.During each semester there will be an internal evaluation test whose marks will be converted to 10 and added to the final internals. And there is a model whose marks is converted to 20 and added to the internals which is 50 marks .The rest is obtained from assignments and attendance. At the end of each semester there will be university exams.
Admission
The admission process was based on merit. Everyone was supposed to bring their merit sheets and ranks were put out based on their entrance scores. It was a very simple process and was very fluid. The management had 50 percent seats and that was also alloted based on the merit.
Faculty
The faculty of our college is very much interested in helping students achieve their goals and excel in their academics. They are experienced and have earned their degrees from prestigious institutions. There are many faculties holding doctrates in various fields of mechanical engineering.
