In Jims kalkaji college, admission is based on the marks that are gained by the student in the CET exam. Priority is given to student knowledge. Special discounts and scholarships for those students who can not afford college fees.

I am pursuing a Bachelor's of Commerce(B.com)(Hons .) From JIMS Kalkaji, I choose this course because i wanted to have various options/scope in the future like being a manager in an mnc or a reputed company. As I want to pursue mba in the future. In this college all the faculty members are highly qualified, even some have done Ph.D. also. Currently, the teaching method is going on online on zoom meetings. The term-end exams are being held in 4 months as the college was started late due to covid 19 and now semesters are shifted to 4 months instead of 6. But because of the good faculty and teaching methods getting past was too easy.

Internships Opportunities

There are various internship opportunities available in our college as they have joined us to the CII YUVA, who keep sharing the internship opportunities. Recently the college shared a flipkart internship of 45 days with a stipend of 15000rs. The roles offered in internships are generally in marketing, sales, human resource management, corporate ambassador,etc. I don't have a clear idea about the projects and outcomes to clarify the tasks but yes our college is good in internship opportunities for sure

Placement Experience

I haven't experienced placements as I am in the first year right now, but usually third year students are eligible for the campus placements. I don't have idea about each and every company but some are: HDFC bank,Infosys, diloette,etc. Teachers claim 100% students who sit in placements get placed somewhere for sure. My plan is to do a job and gain some experience and then do the masters.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees vary between 80000 to 120000 per annum. It is somewhere high as compared to government colleges but if we compare it with private colleges then it is moderate. I don't know much about the scholarship thing as I have not applied to it and for the same reason I didn't search for it

Campus Life

Due to the covid 19, everything is going on the online platform and for the same reason, we haven't experienced the fest till now. So, I don't really have an idea about it. Books and journals are easily available in the library as they are well placed in their columns and also mentioned in the system. Sports and extracurricular activities are really good here like cricket, swimming, badminton, dance, photography, etc. There are social groups like NSS and Rotaract club which are run by the students but supervise by the teachers and higher authorities.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I hdd 90.89 percentile in my CAT 2024 and 93.18 percentile in XAT 2025. These are very good scores and make a candidate like me eligible for top B-schools. I converted a lot of B-schools but around the time of admission I struggled with a few medical reasons and the fact that most of the B-schools were very expensive. Truth about jims kalkaji

The eligibility of the course is to have 50% minimum marks in your undergraduate. The application form, fees, and any other information regarding admission are available on thier admission portal.
