Remarks

The Only course for which I applied was Bcom Hons and for Bcom Hons best four percentage is considered and mine was 97.5% and maths is compulsory too for it. In 1st cutoff, I got Daulat Ram College and I secured my seat there then in 3rd cutoff I got Ramjas college but I didn't transfer my admission because everyone is recommending me to have a preference on Daulat Ram College over Ramjas college. I stayed there, but then in the 4th cutoff, I fell in the cutoff of Hansraj College and transferred my admission to HRC. There was no counseling and personal interview for candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose Bcom Hons because as I am doing CA too, Bcom Hons is the best combination for it. Faculty in Hansraj College is really very nice. All teachers are very supportive and the student-teacher ratio is 80:1 ( a class has around 80 students, in my class, there are 78 students). Faculties are highly qualified. Most of them have Ph.D. degrees and have specialization in their subjects. Their teaching method is also good. We have just like an interactive class. Teachers keep asking from us. We have a healthy discussion in class. Teachers put their maximum efforts to make things clear to us. We also have our tests, assignment on a frequent basis. We have semester exams and before semester exams, we have our internals in which sometimes we have to give tests sometimes presentations, and sometimes assignments. This time we had OBE (Open book examination), exams were quite good, but our 1st-semester Financial accounting paper was very difficult, but thanks to OBE, we cracked it.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Every year internship fair is organized by the internship cell of Hansraj College in which 30 companies came and offered paid internships in different fields like sales, marketing, content, digital marketing, business development, and many more. Various unpaid internships are also offered by the college.

Placement Experience

4.5

There are a lot of companies that visit campus for placement like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Accenture, and many more. The average package made by the company is around 5 lakhs p.a. and the highest package is around 15 lakhs p.a. Every year 40% of students get placed from Bcom Hons. My plan after getting a degree is to get articles for CA (as I am doing CA).

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for my course Bcom Hons are Rs. 20945 per annum. Hansraj College also offers Scholarships to students who are financially weak. Apart from this scholarships to meritorious students are also awarded ( I don't know the name of scholarships but there are many Scholarships awarded by Hansraj College) College also offers many paid internships. I have done two unpaid internships till now.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at the HRC campus is super cool (Though I haven't seen my campus yet, I haven't seen my campus), but I have still heard from seniors that there's much fun at the campus. We have our annual fest too but this time we didn't have due to covid 19. There are a lot of extracurricular activities in college in which students can take participate. There are around 50 societies in college that are solely run by students. The college with maximum societies is our Hansraj College.

Other Applied Colleges

Daulat Ram College, Delhi University | BCOM HONS

Because in following cutoffs I was getting Hansraj College which is much better than DRC

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
