Remarks
Guru Nanak Dev University has its main campus in Amritsar and other regional campuses in Jalandhar, Gurdaspur and Sultanpur Lodhi. Admission in BTech courses is through JEE Mains entrance test score and rank. Seats fill fast on the main campus, especially in CSE and ECE. Seats left vacant in other streams and regional campuses are filled through direct admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculty members and teachers are well trained, qualified and well equipped with skills and knowledge. GNDU has most of the faculty members and teachers of PhD level and postgraduates. Two exams are held in each semester - one minor/midterm exam which is of 20 marks and the other one is major/end semester exam which holds 80 marks.
Placement Experience
Guru Nanak Dev University has a good placement record in the state. Every year GNDU hits around 85% placement record. There are many great, MNCs companies that visit the campus for recruiting students. The highest package is around 13 LPA and the average package is around 3.5 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is affordable as compared to private universities in the state. Fee concession and scholarship are provided to students belonging to economically weaker families or sections, Seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC category students and there are several other quotas too. Fees of the odd semester are around 65000-70000 and even semester is around 40000-45000.
Campus Life
Tech and Annual Fests are regularly organised by student organisations, clubs and by the university itself. There are many social and environmental student clubs are there in University. The campus is spread around 500 acres with almost every basic facility be it cafeterias, large playgrounds of every indoor and outdoor sports activities, swimming pools etc.
