GNIT review

I applied to many colleges after the higher secondary exam. But I got an opportunity to be admitted to GNIT, Food Technology Department as the first choice through counseling after attempting WBJEE. As I have an interest in this subject I did not go for the second choice and decided to be admitted to the food technology department, GNIT. Then I visited GNIT, Sodepur college campus and the campus, the overall atmosphere was very pleasant, neat, and clean. I also visited the Food Technology Department and realized that all the faculties of the department as well as of the college were very very helpful. One of the teachers took me to the laboratories and I visited various machinery for food processing in the laboratories of the Food Technology Department. Then I went to the admission cell in GNIT with my father. The admission process also was very easy and smooth. All the staff of the admission cell was extremely helpful and cooperative. I filled up some forms and documents and the admission process was done.

I am a student in the 4th year food technology department of GNIT. After my higher secondary exam, I attempted WBJEE. Through counseling, I got the opportunity to get admission to the food technology department in GNIT. As I had biology in classes 11 and 12 and biology was my favorite subject, so I decided to get admission to this department. After admission, I realized all the faculty members of this department are extremely helpful and cooperative. Their teaching methods are very very impressive. All the topics are explained by them in detail and if any student has any doubt they clear it immediately. So we do not find any difficulty during the exam. Moreover, the lab assistants explain each and every experiment in detail. Now, in this pandemic situation, our online classes are ongoing. In the online classes, our teachers always follow the best way to make us understand and to have a clear idea on each and every topic.

Internship opportunities (stipend) are available in this college. Internshala, Intellify, Blackboard offers a lot of internships. Most of the students do internships which are very much beneficial.

The placement of GNIT is very good. From 3rd year (6th semester) students generally become eligible for campus placements. Various companies like Keventers, Nestle, Parle, Capgemini visit for placement. Most of the students from all streams get placement.

The total fee for four years B.tech course is approx 4.9 lakhs. In each semester the fee is 35000 approx. Opportunities for scholarships are also available. Financial assistance is also available if required. There are many opportunities for various stipend internships.

The academic, as well as cultural field of GNIT, is very strong. Every year annual cultural fest ZYZZVA, intercollege cultural competition EUPHONIOUS are held in February. The annual tech fest TESSERACT is held in March every year. Facilities of book bank are available in the library. Various sports tournaments are arranged in winter.
