I had applied for PEC and NIT Kurukshetra as well but didn't get the desired branch. I did avail the Haryana Open General Category quota. The admission is based on the rank in JEE Mains exam, if you have got a rank around 25000-35000 and are a resident of Haryana then you'll easily get into one of the Computer branches. After the online counselling, there is an offline round as well so check the university website frequently.

The placements of the software engineering branches are really good. Almost all the faculty members are PhD's in their respective fields and the lab staff is also very well experienced. The term exams are mostly based on the syllabi taught in the classes, if you are sincere enough to pay attention in the class you'll pass comfortably, the checking is proper and rational.

The college offers internships in the 8th semester and the offers are really good as well. The stipend in some cases is around 80000 per month as well. Though before taking up any internships make sure to read the contract carefully as you won't get a degree if you have any unaccomplished commitments.

The students are eligible for placements after the 7th semester. Students get placed in some of the biggest companies like Samsung, Adobe, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Escorts etc. The highest package was around 35 lacs and the average package in the computer branch was around 8 lakhs. The numbers of jobs offered were more than 95% for most of the branches.

The fees when compared to other engineering institutes is relatively low. The hostel fees for the 1st year is also reasonable. The college provides various scholarships to economically weak students and for other categories as well.

The annual fest is generally conducted in the winter months. The physical library is relatively small but the university has an e-library, where you will find almost all the resources you need for your entire course. The college has facilities for Kabaddi, Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton and Football. The best thing about one's college life is the clubs and JC Bose has a lot of them. Ranging from deb-socs to coding clubs to dramatics, there is everything.

The hostel facility for boys is during the 1st year only but for girls, anyone can avail. As for facilities, the condition of the buildings is not so motivating but you'll get each and everything necessary for a comfortable stay. The menu is different for each day and the quality of food is also above average. The registration for the hostel is done after the admission process has finished.
