Awesome coding based experience!

The admission process was very very simple. I wanted to study in the HIT for two reasons. First of all, is that it's one of the best colleges in Kolkata and it's at a very close distance from my home. I haven't applied through any quota. But yes there's the option to go via any quota if applicable. The minimum marks required for admission is above 70%score in the 12th examination. And a good rank in either WBJEE/JEE (Mains). The maximum age for admission is 21 years. The admission process was very simple and hassle-free. There will be a counselling hall where each student is being counselled. The process is very simple. Anyone can get direct admission through counselling.

I always had a keen interest in computers and other gadgets. That's why I chose CSE to pursue my dreams. This college is well equipped with every modern gadget and there's no problem faced by the students regarding that. The faculty is huge. Lots and lots of knowledgeable teachers are present there! Each and everyone is either PhD or M.tech holders. They're immensely experienced and always ready to help the students in need. The teachers go through step by step learning so that they don't miss any part and also when students enquire about any question they always give instant replies. I personally find their teaching very addictive There are basically 2 mock tests scheduled every week for the constant monitoring of student's progress. And every year there are 2semester exams as per the board's rule. The teachers give their best notes to students and I can guarantee if anyone studies their notes and follow each class then passing is not a matter at all.

I went for an internship to Siliguri(West Bengal) for a visit to the ultimate technologies lab where I was being taught a different kind of usage of coding and their applications on AI intelligence for making robotic parts. Many companies provide internships with stipend. Like TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, CRED etc. Anyone can apply for these internships during ongoing semesters and the college will arrange everything for them they'll be provided with certificates and stipend.

Our college is basically known for giving a huge number of placements to almost every students every year. A student becomes eligible for getting placed in any IT/CORE company when they complete the 3rd year( 6th semester). But that particular student needs to secure a very good amount of SGPA throughout all the semesters and must have a previous site or internships record. There are many companies connected with our college and each of them gives handsome offers to every eligible pupil. Some of the companies are CRED,INFOSYS,MINDTREE,TCS,WIPRO,VEDANTA,SAIL,BHEL etc. The average package offered to a student is around 3-3.5lakh/year. And the highest package offered before was around 8lakh/year. Our college has a very good rate of placements per year. Around 78% of student got placed the previous year. So a student with minimum effort can create an opportunity for himself/herself. After getting my degree I want to go for a startup and form a technology company of my own.

Our college takes 46-48,000rs per semester. And the net amount after 4years is approximately around 4.5-5lacs. Which is slightly on the costlier side. But the placements and scholarship records are excellent in our college. The money does matter but the placement is near about guaranteed with just minimal effort of the student. The scholarship which is provided by our college is the "Growmore" scholarship. Under which if any student's family income is under 1lakh per year he/she will get a 50-60% concession for every semester fees. And sometimes direct scholarships are also being provided based on merit. Till now I'm not a graduate but yes I hope I'll be able to get a decent job after following all the thumb rules!

Our college HIT along with studies also gives attention to the amusements and fun activities too. Every year there are 4-5big events. The annual fest is named "Mehfil" where all kinds of foods, DJs and eminent singers or politicians actors comes as a guest and entertains everyone. This fest happens every year in the month of Sept-Oct. The Tech fest is named "Tech-Mate" where there are different kinds of technological fun activities using coding and other things. Moving on to the library part, there are all kinds of engineering books and books based on vocabularies, magazines, journals, business books, everything is available. Apart from studies, sports is the second priority. There are total 3 events of sports every year. The cricket league which happens is named as "HCL-Heritage Cricket League". Similarly, Football and basketball tournaments also happen separately. These tournaments are open to both boys and girls. There are 4-5 clubs in our college. Rotaract club, Yoga club, music etc
