IIITN- One of the best emerging engineering college in India

I had not applied for any other college and I have no quota I am from the general category. In IIITN for CSE Branch a student should secure a minimum rank of 30000 and 27000 in JEE Mains to be safe as rank fluctuates every year as IIITs are growing expectionaly. For admission after jee mains on the basis of the result, we have to fill Jossa counselling in which there are 6+2 special rounds. In round 1 for the CSE general category closing rank was 23445. As my rank was 30749 so I have to wait till Special Round 2 for which the closing rank was 30776. And then after that, I have to pay the fees and submit the documents online. So I think the process was seamless and now hurdles in between.

As in IIITs curriculum is far better than nits and other colleges as in cse there are not extra subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Civil, Mechanical which in other colleges is compulsory to study from right 1st year there is CP, DSA, Web Dev, Python comparatively which is not in other colleges. The faculty: student ratio is 1:100. Faculty are highly qualified are PhD scholars from foreign universities and IITs and as we are in online sem so it's difficult for them to show as practicals as we have to use computer software for that but as far theory they are explaining well. For exams, we have mid sem and end sem and 2 to 3 quizzes in each subject and lab tests one time before the end semester. For passing, we have to start our studies one week before the exam and we can achieve 8 8.5 SGPA easily.

Internships have a very good scene as students start getting an offer from 2nd year and my seniors get an intern in good companies like GS, JUSPAY, AMAZON, JIO ETC and our T&P Cell sends us many Maila for research interns in IITs foreign universities etc. Teachers also work on many projects for which they select students to work them and provide stipends also which is good for our resume.

Students from 3rd year become eligible for on-campus internships and from 4th year for on-campus placements. There are many companies visited like Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Ericcson, Jio, Capgemini, Trdc, TCS, Naggaro and many more. The highest package for 2020 was 20 lakhs and the average was 8.75 lakhs. And for 2021 there is a good hike as the highest was 30 lakh and the average was 10.50 lakhs. And one got an offer from Apple, 3 from amazon,2 from gs,and6 from jio and 8 from Capgemini and many more. The percentage of placement is 85-90 % and many go for MTech, MS etc. My plans after my degree are to get a good job as sde in a good software company. And I also work on Entrepreneurship. So far so good.

Our total course fees for four years is 9 lakhs and there is no hike it's fixed for every year and college also provide scholarships for different states and is easy to avail and I think its return of investment is good and campus jobs are good as 1st placement of this college is pretty good as average was 8.75 lakhs per annum for both ECE and CSE combined and almost everyone gets the job.

As far as campus life we are yet to go as we are covid batch but in the only also college conducted many things firstly annual fest is Abhivyakti which was held in March and tech fest is Tantrafiesta which occur in September and there is another fest also like e-summit which was held in February and Skills Spring a month-long skill development fest held in April. As we are online we have got an e-library subscription of IEEE which has more than 1 lakhs books and journals and research papers. As far as sports there is inter-IIIT and a club Eklavya which works for sports for competitions. The college has many clubs like Dotslash - coding club, strokes-design club, E-cell- Entrepreneurship club, skills nights- All over skill development club and many more like Probe, Rajbasha, Cultural Club etc.

As I have taken admission in 2020 so I have not gone college yet but from seniors, I had listened hostels are good as they are newly made and they have each type of room single, double, triple, 4-seaters and the mess has good food compare to other college food and has a gym, pool, badminton, TT, tv room, common room etc.
