According to me, kiit is the best student friendly college.

I filled up the form of "kiitee2013". First of all the entrance exm fee was ₹0 nd hence kiit attracted a good bunch of students for entrance exm. Paper was a bit tuff and we thought that the cutoff would be low. My rank was 1130 .kiit doesnot disclose the marks nd cutoff ,only sends your rank via media. From very beginning when I started my preparation for engineering ,I have decided to study mechanical engineering as I m very much found of cars nd bikes nd was always curious to know it's mechanisms. One thing I must add here is if you are planning to become an engineer, you must be sure with your choice and area of interest. For e.g. if a person is very much interested in computers nd want to learn it's working then he/she should opt CS/IT branch. DONT GET INFLUENCED BY OTHERS when you are choosing your branch in engineering because one wrong decision will spoil your whole career. When my results were announced I got a call letter from kiit for the counseling process. We arrived at Bhubaneswar and reported at college premise on our schedule time. The counseling process started by filling up a from which asked our branch choice nd personal detail. We were sitting in the main auditorium of kiit which is I think the best audi i have ever seen. They were calling students according to their rank. Screens were there which was showing the availability of number of seats in respective branches.usually top rank students opts CS nd Mech so seats in these branches were decreasing rapidly.My turn came ,I got there .they asked me for my 12th marksheet and verified my PCM marks.(60% in PCM is compulsory). When I got there ,mechanical branch was showing 200 available seats. They asked for my choice I got a confirmation letter for mechanical branch.

In first year, all branch students will have to study a common syllabus. First year course is designed in such a way that you will get to know the basics of your branch nd some elaborated topics of 12th. So those who have a good command over their 11th nd 12th syllabus are not going to get any difficulty but other students doesnot have to worry, as teachers are highly qualified here nd they will not let you down. From 2nd year, the course are designed according to the understanding. We,in mechanical studied the basics of mechanical engineering topics and in 3rd year, we studied the practical devices based on the 2nd year syllabus. So every thing went smoothly for us. No student here, complains about the syllabus. It is very wisely constructed nd the topics which we study here are designed according to the GATE syllabus.

Yes, kiit provides a wide range of internship offer for the students including abroad internship also. Companies like TVS, FIAT, ASK ME BAZAR, FREECHARGE, FLIPKART, TATA MOTORS, TCS, ACCENTURE nd many more top growing companies comes here to provide summer nd winter internship. Stipend is around 6000 to 10000 depending on the companies.

Placement is the most important think which students and parents think before taking admission. At Kiit there is a separate department for training and placement and from the very beginning you will be learing about placement technique s. In first year there will be classes for professional english nd you will have semester exam for it also. In 3rd year, a class called CAT will be added in your class routine in which you will study aptitude ,english and programming. From the beginning of your 4rth year, companies will be present to give you jobs. There are 3 day opening , day zero, day one and day two. Day zero starts from July and ends in august. Companies like Delloite , tata powers, microsoft, flipkart, google, musigma, sapoorji nd pallonji..visits college nd gives job opportunity. Generally day zero companies provides high package varying from 6lakh to 40 lakh. After day zero, day one starts from Sept 1st week nd last in Oct first week. Companies like TCS ,CONGNIZNT ,INFOSYS ,WIPRO ,ACCENTURE ,CAPGEMINI ,IBM, ERRICSON etc comes in day one. One thing is sure , our tnp cell assures here that each and every student should get a job during day1 visit of the companies. Nd after day1 90%students gets job. After day1 ,day2 starts and core companies comes for mechanical electricL nd civil branch students. Those who have got jobs in day1 can sit in core companies so finally you will leave college having a job in your hand.

Kiit is a student friendly nd fun oriented college . Each and every day ,kiit hosts one event. We have our technical fest in Feb every year which includes technical events as well as bollywood night . Kiit has a separate department called student activity center(sac) which have so many societies like kaash for drama and theater, kritarth for writers ,pankh for actors, nd other societies like robotics, aeronautics, music any many more. We have our own cricket stadium which hosts ranji tournament every year.we have a world class tenis volleyball and basket ball court for you. So you think, a college having such an immense facilities, how it will not host different events.

The fee structure according to me a bit expensive for the middle class students. But every penny you spent year is worth. Kiit returns your money by its facilities nd placement. Today in 2016, when each companies are hard hitted by inflation kiit has achieved 90%placement. It is because the money you give in fees, some part is provided to the companies also . Beside that , the world class facilities, your course book are free here you don't have to buy it. You will get a very decent laptop when to take admission.

When you come here to take admission, prominent banks of our country setup their counters to provide loans. You have to open an account their, provide your father's income detail and then a letter you will get from college showing your fee structure. Kiit is such a brand which is enough to convince the bank officials for loans.

You are surely going to enjoy your college life here. Sex ratio here is around 50-50. Kiit campus is a couple friendly campus . You can easily spend some quality time with your partner in the campus . Noone is going to interrupt. Kiit has parks nd other places for the couples . Kiit has 4 or 5 Jim's nd 3 or 4 swimming pools also.so enjoy your life here.

The hostel facility is good. Rooms and waahrooms get cleaned every day. But the only thing which is the matter of concern here is the mess food. The food here is of very low quality. Chapaties rice are very poorly cooked. But I think it is the story of mess of every college including iit nd nit.

Seniors and aluminies are very helpful here. Aluminies are the one which kiit takes very much care of. Every year ,kiit does it aluminies meet at the metro cities. In college you can seek help of your seniors in any field you want. Whether it is the area of extra activities or education, they are happy to help you.

The exam structure is a flexible one w.r.t other college. In one semester you will have two exam , mid semester exam nd end semester exam. Mid semester exam is of 25 marks Which will have syllabus coverd at that time. End semester exam is of 60 marks. 15 marks is in the hand of your subject professor which includes assignment, quiz nd attendence marks. 75% attendence is mandatory with 10% relaxation after providing medical certificate failure to which you will be debarred from semester exam.

Counseling charge in 2013 was ₹60,000 which is refundable if after counseling you are not taking admission. After my counseling was over, I returned home . 2 months later, kiit website uploaded the schedule for the reporting process of fresher's. Fee structure for 2013-17 batch was 1,10,000 per semester , 60000 hostel charge per year nd 25000 mess charge. The fee structure is reviewed every year. They doesnot accept cash so we have to do all the payment through DD. I reached college premise on schedule time. We got our ID card which will be the most imp identity for you in college . After that we got a coupon which was indicating our hostel name and my room number. We were directed towards the hostel by college bus. The college administration was very cooperative nd very supportive so you will not feel a bit that you are at a new place. We reached hostel and the warden directed us towards our room. One of the biggest advantage here is, the 1st year students remains completely disconnected with the seniors. They have their own hostels in which all first years leaves together. They have separate campus as 1st year syllabus is common for all. In 2nd year you will be redirected to ur respective branch and branch hostel. Ragging is completely ban here nd seniors are very cooperative. But in first year you have to be In formals as it is compulsory. At hostel, you will be provided matrices of kurlon, pillow, 2 set of bedsheets ,bucket nd mug. Table chair nd a separate cupboard. Each room will be shared by 3 students.

Faculties here are highly qualified, cooperative, student friendly and understands their duties. They are motivational nd always egar to get 100% from you by giving their 100%. They have a wide range of experience from different colleges including iit's nd nit's and thus you will get a quality education here. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and airconditioner . Laboratories have each machines in working condition.
