KULDEEP SINGH RATHORE's Review On National Institute Of Technology - [NIT], Srinagar

I cleared my JEE MAINS with around 23000 rank and got mechanical branch in NIT srinagar. Therefore I decided to go mechanical branch leaving chemical branch which I was getting in NIT, Hamirpur. The process is smooth and student friendly.

The college in general does not provide any internship. But the professors who have contacts with various firms help students to get training from a particular company.

The on campus placements are good at college. There is around 200% placements for CS, ECE, IT branch and around 80-90% for MECH, ELECTRICAL and around 60-70% for remaining branches. There are various MNCs like MARUTI SUZUKI, WIPRO, INFOSYS, POLARIS, TCS, ABB, etc. that provides jobs to students.

Nit srinagar organises its annual technical festival TECHVEGANZA. Despite that there are various other cultural activities also.There are various clubs active in college such as sports club, literature club, poetry club, dance club, accretion, etc. Which help students to actively participate in co curricular activities.

The fee structure at this institute is fixed by MHRD, Delhi and therefore it is much feasible. As per the new norms of MHRD the fee structure for general students is around rs. 40000 + 15000 and for SC and ST students it is half the fee of general.

The college provide loan facility for financially backward students with nominal interest. There are several other scholarships provided by various state governments and central govt. for NIT students.

There are around 2000 male students and 200 female students in institute. The campus life is excellent. There are 2 canteens and 3 shops in College. The campus environment is good. The institute is among top 10 most beautiful campuses of the country.

The alumni of this institute are at reputed places in the country as well as outside. The seniors of the college are very helpful and stand with the problems raised by junior students.

Labs at NIT srinagar are excellent and a great practical knowledge can be aquired by the students. The exams are conducted in a systematic manner. The institute has installed several cctv cameras to control the security and safety of the college and to conduct exams in a fair manner.

I got admission in NIT srinagar by counselling of CSAB. After submitting the online fee of 40000 , I went to college for admission and the staff there gave me some forms which I had filled. And thereafter some signatures were required of various professors.

The faculty is highly qualified and share their maximum knowledge to the students. All the faculties are graduated from finest colleges of the country. Their behaviour is excellent and helpful. They conduct various debates and presentations in class to indulge students in academics.
