A fresher review

I had applied for many nits and some private institutions like bits and IIIT Hyderabad but I want to do biomedical engineering which I was not getting in any of these colleges at my marks and I didn't avail any quota. I got admission based on my 12th boards marks and due to the Covid admission process was in online mode so there was no counselling.

I have a field of interest so that's why I choose this 1:18. All the faculity members have a minimum degree of masters-level and many of them also have PhD level degrees in their respective fields. After a period of 6 months, our end sem exams are held and our difficulty levels are so easy to moderate.

Big companies like Johnson & Johnson, Thermofisher scientific, cardinal health provide intership for students about the period of 7-8 months and student can apply intership either the end of second year or in the mid of 3rd-year projects done by the students in these intership help them to enhance their skills and build there resume for future job preferences.

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 6th-semester downward. Over 100+ companies arrive at Thapar institutions to pick up students like big companies like Wipro, l&t, BPL Healthcare, Phillips, and many more. The highest package which was offered last year was for 43 lakhs and the average goes around 8-10 lakhs per annum. Over 80% of students get placed from campus placements. I plan to do my new startup.

As Thapar is a private institute so it has slightly more fees them another University and around 25 lakh fees is the total fees for the full 4-year course including hotel fees as well. All three scholarships approved by the government are given by Thapar also and a special scholarship for one girl child also. It also provides educational loans to students who belong to families below the poverty line.

Thapar conducts many festival's. Its annual festival name is 'saturnalia' which begins in the month of September and followed by a food festival all in the month of October. Thapar had a very big library and had over 40 thousand+books, 1000+journals and 3500+CD's/DVDs for students. The classroom is well equipped with high tech advice like projectors, smart LEDs and are equipped with the best sound system and fully AC. Thapar also a vast variety of sports complexes starting from Indoor games like table tennis or Badminton to outdoor games like Football and Volleyball.
