Loopi had applied for many NITs and some private institutes like bits and IIIT Hyderabad but want to do Computer Engineering which I was not getting this in any of these colleges at my marks and I didn't avail any quota. I got admission on the basis of 12th marks.
Course Curriculum Overview
Due to umpteen in the field, I choose Computer branch. the faculity, student ratio is around 1:17. All the faculty members have a minimum degree of master level and many of them also have a phd level degree in their respective field. After a period of 6 months, our end sem exams held and their difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
A big company like San Disk, Walmart, Sap provide intership to students at the end of 2nd year or in the third year. The project done by the students in these internships helps them to enhance their skills and build their resumes for a future job preference.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placement from the 6th semester. Over 200+ companies visit every year. The highest package reached was 43 lakhs and average 6 to 9 lakhs. Around 90 percentage students got placed. I plan to job after my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
Being a private institution Thapar has slightly more fees than other universities and around 25 lakh is the total fees for the full 4-year course including hostel fees. All the scholarships conduct by the govt are provided here.
Campus Life
Saturnalia Thapar's annual fest happens in the month of September every year followed by a food festival in the month of October. Thapar has a very big library for students classrooms are well equipped with Digital Projector, AC's and best sound system it also has a variety of sports.
