Internship is the best thing!

The admission process is very very simple and hassle free. There's not much work to do for getting admitted. The minimum requirements for getting the admission to our college is to acquire a minimum marks of 70% in the entire science group and must come with the 10th class result too. A candidate carry their entrance exam result sheet also for the reference. The maximum age is set at 21 years. After that no students are eligible to take part in our college. As I told earlier that the admission process is very simple and just a one day process. It takes an hour or so to get fully admitted. The counselling goes around for just an hour after that the student gets direct admission.

After I finished my higher secondary I thought that I have some interest in the mechanical field. That's why I thought that HIT is the best collegeto fulfill my knowledge and dream. This course offers a wide range of jobs too because its a core engineering line which won't fade as long as there's a demand of mechanical gadgets. The faculty in this college is very big. Consisting of very highly educated and experienced teachers they give students a personalized learning experience. Every students get equal amount of attention from the teachers. Maximum teachers are either PhD or M.Tech. The teaching methods are very unique and varies in teachers. There are two semester exams happening at an interval of 6months. Apart from that monthly mock tests are also arranged routinely. So for clearing these exams one needs to just go through the notes provided by the teachers. Passing is not a big issue here. Almost everyone gets the passing marks and above that.

My college provides top class internship opportunities by linkup with major companies like TECH MAHINDRA, TCS, SAIL etc. Apart from the offline internship programs the online internship programs under INTERSHALA is also managed by our college. Both online/offline facilities are available according to the convenience of the students. I personally got the internship opportunity under TECH MAHINDRA where I was under the motor section to gain knowledge about different motor parts of a car and how to make it running. So that was a very beautiful and knowledgeable experience for me because I did all the things practically and I hope it'll help me to find the faults and solve any problems in this line in the future. Just like me all the other batchmates also got opportunities of their desired fields and earned themselves knowledge based on practicality.

Our college has a very good placement record. Almost very student gets placed every year. A student becomes eligible for getting placed to a company after he/she completes the 3rd year and steps into the 4th year. There are many popular brands like TECH MAHINDRA, INFOSYS, WIPRO, CAPGEMINI, HYUNDAI etc which are in tie up with our college. The average package provided is around 2.5-3lakhs/year. And the highest package provided is around 7-8lakhs/year. The percentage of students those who gets placed is near about to 74% every year consistently. Which is the main factor of the college's succes and top ranks. My plan is that after I complete my course within an year or so I want to join an automobile industry so that I can design and give my contribution towards the car section.

The Fees structure is very simple and convenient. Just like other colleges in Kolkata the Fees are almost the same. But teaching and other factors are far better than other colleges according to me. Because there's no extra hidden charges inside the fees. The amount is totally exact and no other charges are made after the sem fees. Our college provides a vast range of job categories for every streams according to their needs. Like mechanical students to any mechanical firm or electrical student to any electrical based company, which is very good. There are scholarships also which is provided by the college. Every time the students apply for the scholarship the college always try to give them scholarship. But there are certain rule like the yearly income of a candidate's family needs to be below 1lac rs.

The campus of our college is huge. That's why the campus life is very enjoyable. There are many fest being conducted by our college including tech fest, cultural fest, game fest and many more. Among these fest the grandest is the cultural fest which happens every year in the month of September/October where eminent singers, actors, politicians comes and entertain us throughout the programs. All the students enjoy very much. Moving on to the library part, the library room is the largest hall in our college after the auditorium. Consisting of enormous amount of books and novels which contains books on engineering, journals and current affairs. The classrooms are very big and spacious due to which the students could focus on their studies more. Apart from that all classrooms are air-conditioned. Many sports events are celebrated every year. Football, cricket and basketball tournaments are organized every year which are open to both boys and girls.
