Kerala engineering entrance examination leads to me here. I was preparing for 1 year entrance examination, then only i got this college. I was general candidate with 4326 rank.
Course Curriculum Overview
Calicut university have Computer Science and engineering curriculum which focus on basics of computer to the advanced computer technology. First year of engineering, all the basic engineering courses are studied. From 2nd year on wards, focusing on to the computer area.
Internships Opportunities
Yes, mostly computer science and engineering students have opportunity for internship form various companies such as Qburst, TCS etc. The placement cell will provide everything to the students. About Rs 10000 is the basic salary per month which have 2,3 months of internships.
Placement Experience
Various companies are visiting college since we are 4th in college ranking in Kerala as well as 15th in overall India. TCS is recruting about 200+ students in an year form our college which have 3.5LPA. Kalki Tech 4.5LPA, UST Global 5.5LPA, litmus7 3.5LPA, QBURST 3.5LPA, Juspay 8.5LPA Huawei 8.5LPA are the main recruiters in NSSCE.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is very small. Since each and every one is in the college have merit Only Rs 6200 per one year is the fee for every department and every student. There are no hidden fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
College provide lots of scholarship to the students up to 50000 per one year. The management also provide various scholarship apart from the government scholarships.
Campus Life
Most of the department have 50-50 gender ratios. but the mechanical department consists mostly of boys. Extra curricular activities such as sports,arts and cinema festivals are there. Computer science department have various it field competitions, championships, hackathon etc.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is very vast. They have build a separate block for the college too.. so many alumni are contributed to the college. College was started in 1960s . They are very helpful.
Exam Structure
Every department conduct 2-3 series of exams for every subjects in a semester. Lab examination for internal assessment are also done twice in a semester. Overall exams are good enough which have university mains pattern of questions are followed in our college.
Admission
Admission is based on merit only. the top students under 4500 rank in kerala entrance examination can join NSS College of engineering palakkad. It is based on Central Window program conducted by entrance exam commissioner. I got admission in 4th allotment.
Faculty
We have so many permanent faculties, only few of the faculties are freshers. The core subjects are taught by the professors and associate professors. They have great knowledge and experience in their field. Most of them have minimum of 25+ year of experience.
