Govt. Engineering college, Sreekrishnapuram

First I applied to join Government Eng. College Thrissur. But I didn't get any seats due to my fewer marks in the KEAM exam. Then I tried to join NSS Govt. Engineering College Palakkad. But it was too far from my home. Then I got admission in Govt. Engineering college Palakkad, Sreekrishnapuram. I didn't get any quota for admission. The rank given in the KEAM exam is the admission criteria for students. Each student must get at least 3000 ranks in KEAM exam. The admission process is very simple. Those students who get admission must bring the eligibility certificates.

I was very interested in computer programming. I wondered about the technology used in it. That was the reason to select this course, computer science. In the classroom, there are 56 students. 30 girls and 26 boys. In each classroom, there is plenty of benches and dusks. Also smart projector in each classroom. There is a big sports ground and gym station. We get qualified teachers for teaching purposes. Their attitude to students being nice. There are exams each semester, which is about 6 months. The exam is comparatively difficult to pass.

Kerala technical department of education is the main company offered under internships with stipend. The role given by this company was to control the programming language script on computers. It was an amazing experience. We must understand the technical part of programming and apply it on the computer was the major task given by them.

There is a lot of campus placements in this college. But it is only available for 5th and 6th-semester students. Infotech& google are the major companies visits here. A number of students get jobs in each company In each year, about 30 students get the job opportunities and offers. About 20% of students get placements. After course completion, I want to join any of the main companies like infotech.

B. Tech is a four-year course. So each year we must pay 18000 in the name college fee. There are some scholarships for students. E. Grant's scholarship is such one, it gets for top-ranked students. Other scholarships are also there for students from poor families. I didn't get any jobs here. Because I am the first year. There are campus interviews for 3 rd years and 4th years.

Campus life is marvelous here. There are so many entertainment programs for students. In this college, there is an annual fest, art fest and sports fest works in every year with joy and pleasure. There is a big library in college. Those students who have a membership, can take books for reading and reviewing. There is plenty of extracurricular activities on college like gymnastics, painting, chess game. Etc. Football, cricket, volleyball have more importance in this college.
