Learning about automation system via internship!!

The admission process of our college is very easy and simple. I always tried to get admitted into heritage because of it's great placement records and it's top rank in Kolkata. The admission is based on the 12th mark sheet, JEE MAINS/WBJEE rank card and 10th marksheet. A student must acquire at least 70% in the higher secondary in science group to get the admission. The minimum age is set here at 18years and maximum age limit is 21years for the admission. As I mentioned earlier, the admission process is just one day procedure which is done through reviewing the 12th mark sheet and direct counselling of the student . it hardly takes 1-2hours for admission. And there's no worries regarding that.

I always wanted to become a mechanical engineer because I was attracted towards heavy machineries and cars. So HIT was the only college in my range which provided excellent equipments for student's project purposes. The faculty members are very helpful and responsive. Every students get their personal learning by the experienced teachers. Maximum of our professors are PhD, M.Tech and other high degree holders. So there's no lack of experience in the faculty members. The teachers adapts new and unique teaching methods for the better understanding of each and every students. I personally like the ways how every teacher teaches in their own way and surprisingly their study materials are very much helpful for interview purposes also. There are two semester exams every year. Apart from that, there are monthly mock test every month to monitor the progress of the student. The students who will attentively just go through the notes provided by the teacher he/she will easily pass the exam.

There are many opportunities provided by my college regarding the internships. The offline and online both kinds of internship are being provided to the students. The offline internship are mainly given by TCS, TECH MAHINDRA, CAPGEMINI, etc. These companies provides internship along with stipends. The duration is around 2-4months. The online internship courses are being provided by INTERSHALA whose duration is around 3-6months. I chose TECH MAHINDRA and they responded to my call for joining their internship program. I chose to go in their robotics department to learn about their different automation system inside their cars like the cars that automatically gets controlled without gear. And I had hand on experience in their workshops and learned a lots and lots of things during my tenure over there. All the students along with me were fully satisfied by their internship courses.

The placement of my college is very good due to which I joined this college and really found that it's worth it. The students become eligible to get placements in companies after they complete their 3rd year i.e 6th semester. There are many tech giant companies which are linked up with our college like TCS, CAPGEMINI, MINDTREE, INFOSYS, WIPRO, TECH MAHINDRA etc. The average package provided during the campusing is around 2.5-3lakh/year and the highest package offers are around 7-8lakh/year. The percentage of students those gets placements every year revolves around 73-76% or some year more than that. It's happening consistently over the year. And that's the success rate of our college. My plan after getting the degree is to join the robotics industry where AI robots are being made and thats the best part of mechanical engineering according to me now a days!

The fees structure of my college is very simple. It's just one time investment and no hidden charges are being charged. That's what I personally like. The cost charged is pretty reasonable just like any other engineering college its just like them but standard of study is very high and impressive. Our college provides every kind of financial support to the students who need. Scholarships and other schemes are made by the college for the students who's yearly family income is below 1lakh rupees. According to their merit and performance the scholarships are being provided. This scholarships varies between students. The students those who wants a college with financial stability can join this college without any hesitation.

Our college campus is huge and wide. So there's no lack of space here. Every students enjoy their zones and spends their time freely inside the college. Our college maintains balance between studies and different functions. Every year lots and lots of programs happens. Among them are three big fest like Cultural fest, Tech fest, and Travel to any destination. The cultural fest is the grandest fest by our college where eminent singers, actors, sports personality comes. It goes on for 2days and it consists of every kinds of enjoyments and fun. The fest occurs generally In between September- November. The library of our college is very huge consisting of every kinds of books be it engineering, journals, current affairs etc. Our college puts emphasis on different sports activities and arranges tournaments for cricket, football every year for girls/boys respectively. Three major clubs are there maintained by the students ECO CLUB(Brikshropan) ROTARACT CLUB, MUSIC CLUB(Sargam).
