My College Review

I applied for other colleges as well but selected this one due to better career opportunities and facilities. No, I didn't avail any qouta for admission as I am a general candidate. Admission criteria is completely entrance based. One have to give the UPSEE exam and secure a decent rank and then through counseling one can get seat in our college. As the admission is entrance based cutoff varies every year but one must have atleast 50% in boards to apply for the UPSEE exam. We were called one day to the college to compete other admission related formalities and deposit fees. Majority of the process is completed online but for some part offline presence is required.

I had an interest in ECE branch that's why I chose this course. The faculty to the student ratio of our college is very good as compared to other colleges. There are only 67 students in the class and every student gets proper attention. All the faculty members are highly qualified and believes in teaching student through a practical based approach rather than the theoritical one. All teachers are very coooperative and clears doubt anytime. 2 sessionals and 1 end semester exam is conducted every semester. Exams overall difficulty remains moderate and everything is asked from the things taught in the class. If a student attends all classes properly and sincerely one can get decent marks and clear all the exams easily.

There are various companies like Adobe, TCS, AnsalAPI, L&T, Pie INFOCOMM, Nirvana Solutions, Atventus, edcos0073 which provide internship opportunities to our college students. Stipend and roles offered depends student's performance and their calliber and how much their work will help the company thus there is no exact data for it. Many projects have been completed by the students of our college and many startups are also initiated by students of our college.

From the 7th semester (4th Year) onwards students are eligible to apply for placement while from 5th semester (3rd Year) they can apply for internships. Our college even has a separate society which aids students in all these important things. There are no such official releases for companies visited, several offers, and the highest package offered, but the placements are decent from our college and companies like TCS, Wipro, Airtel, Mediatek visit every year. Almost 60% of the students get placed from our college every year although the percentage varies every year. After getting the degree I have not made as such plans but most probably I will pursue my education further.

Our entire fees for all the branches except IT is just Rs.74350 (Including hostel) and Rs.64350 (Excluding hostel). The fees for the IT branch are 15000 more that is Rs.89350 (Including hostel) and Rs.79350 (Excluding hostel). Since 2017 (as I know) there has been no fees hike. Overall the fees structure of our college is very affordable as compared to other colleges. UP government provides a platform where students can apply for scholarships and their entire tution fees get refunded if eligible. Apart from that meritious student gets an opportunity to apply for a scholarship from the college, there are many other eligibility criteria for the same. Many companies visit the campus for jobs and the average package offered remains to be about 5-6L.

Anubhuti is the name of our annual college fest and Tvaran is our sports fest which is also one of the biggest sports fests held in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from these, various fests happen after regular intervals of time. Our library is quite huge and has a lot of books. Classrooms are well equipped to provide students one of the best experiences to learn new things conceptually and practically. Our college has a cricket ground, 2 basketball courts, 1 tennis court, 2 badminton courts, and table tennis tables. There are many clubs in the college like Literary Council, Hack Club, Startup and Internship Cell, Chess Club, Dance Club, Music Club, Photography club, and many more.

Rooms are not very well maintained structure-wise as they are quite old but facility wise they are well to do. Food is especially very tasty at our college and variety is served based on the menu as decided by the mess. Food quality is good. During counseling, they give us a form in which we have to fill whether we want the hostel or not. Nearby there are many places where students can live as PG if they don't opt for the campus hostel.
