NIT Trichy is the top ranked NIT in the country. Because i had a good rank in JEE Mains, i was able to secure a seat in NIT Trichy. Unfortunately i couldnt secure a good rank in JEE Advanced so IITs were out of options
Course Curriculum Overview
As far as my course civil engineering is concerned it is taken by faculty who have all obtained PhD's in their field of study. The faculty has impeccable record though the lectures may not be up to par.Academics is intensive as we have assignments, internals and final exam during a semester
Internships Opportunities
I have secured a research internship at NTU Singapore. This is an off campus intern. Our college also provided on campus internships through Training and Placement Cell.The jobs offered are in varied profiles like software development, management and core engineering profiles. Software dev stipends range from 80K -1lakh.
Placement Experience
Placement record is very high at NIT Trichy with CS department recording 100 percent placement. People from core branches although has lesser placement usually opt for higher studies or attempt GATE and join PSU's
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our college has an alumni association which offers scholarships to students who come from a financially bad background. Placement records are high with CS department registering 100 percent placement.
Campus Life
Life at campus is hectic. Mornings go for classes and evenings go for club activities. Our college has 40+clubs ranging in fields like art,technology, film making etc. Our college has primarily two fests.Festember the annual cultural fest of NIT Trichy and Pragyan the annual techno-managerial fest of NIT Trichy.
Hostel Facilities
I have opted for hostel and it costs around 40K per semester. The facilities are good. The rooms are also spacious. Each hostel has a warden to whom you can address your concerns. There is also a student representative called Hostel Rep who will be also taking down your concerns
