Which is better: Civil NIT Trichy or CSE NIT Patna?

NIT Trichy is one of the top 10 institutions in India for Engineering, NIT Patna makes it to the 56th position in the NIRF Rankings 2023 for Engineering. Despite this, I would suggest you go for CSE from NIT Patna. Out of my experience of meeting different people, I would suggest you choose a better course over a better institution. CSE is in demand these days, while Civil might not be a good choice placement-wise. A friend of mine pursued his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a top NIT. He did not land a decent job. After that, he cracked GATE and went for his M.Tech in Civil Engineering from DTU. Even after his M.Tech, he landed a package of INR 5.5 LPA. Civil Engineers from IIT Guwahati in my friend circle started preparing for UPSC because of not getting a job. I believe that a course tag is permanent unless you switch your stream during your Masters. Therefore, I would suggest you take CSE from NIT Patna instead of Civil from NIT Trichy.

Civil is indeed one of the oldest branch of the college and therefore its a privilege to study civil engineering from here.

Life in NIT Trichy

Their are two fees, one is hostel fees and the other is institute fees, everybody who is studing in the college must pay the institute fees, while the college fees is paid by only the hostellers. I pay ?46000 as hostel fees every semester (twice a year) and institute fees of ?26000 every year. Some students are exempted to pay the tution fees while they need to pay the other fees, the tution fees is ?100000 for every year. We can apply only to one government scholarship, and we can also apply for other private scholarships, a scholarship named RECAL is provided by the college itself for the students, it is a merit based scholarship.

Tution fees is 62500 it's not increasing at all its same for all eight semester and also it varies category by category so for example for sc/st it's free they don't have to pay this tution fees My complete cost is about 5 lakh max There are scholarship provided for the students to do well and help themselves financial For the stipend the PHD program they provide 37 k fir two years and rest for the three years 42 k and about the jobs there are companies which always shows interest in the students of nit trichy...

Tution fees are like- 62,500 per semester Hoatel and mess fess- 50,000 per semester Which is a bit on higher side. They provide scholarship for ews and bpl students. For person with family income less than 5 lpa will get 33% reduction in tution fees and with family income less tha 1 lps will get 66% reduction in tution fees.

tuition fee is 62500 per sem.but if your familiy income is under 1 lakh a year then on providing proper income certificate you will be freed from all your fees.if your income is between 1-5 lakh then your 2/3 rd of fees will be relieved.for mess and hostel you have to pay 41900 per semester.here you cant get any relief even if your income is too less.the scholarships here are recall alumini, nsp ,sdef,saf, rhodes, reliance and many come with time to time.i havent got any scholarship till now but some of my friends get it.
