WBJEE, Got a 9 k rank in general category. I heard the college has a good faculty and almost a good placement record. Besides a few good friends has also opted for this college with me.
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty is good. The labs are quite good most of the times. Teachers are very cooperating. Occasionally there might be a little problem with the devices but they are fixed as soon as bring them under notice. The college has an excellent library. Almost all the books you need for semester are available there.
Internships Opportunities
As I was just promoted to 2nd year, I have not done any internship till now. So I can't comment. Generally you get an internships on the 3rd year or 4th year itself. You can opt to do training on your own from any companies of your choice.
Placement Experience
Placement and opportunities is good for the people who are regular with their studies and prove themselves a studious character. An average package for the year 2016 was around 3.26 lacs anually. TCS was the highest in to provide students with jobs. Other reputed companies like Mind tree also took a considerable number. Few good students also got in companies likes IBM.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college fee is neither more nor less. Its an average amount. The first semester amount is a bit costly amounting to 68-69 k. From the next sem it will be stuck at 39 k per semester for out batch 2015-19 till the 8th semester. The above fee structure does not include the mess/hostel fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Not that I know of. I do not think there is any good scholarship/ loan facilities offered by our college. MAKAUT may provide such. My resources are very limited regarding this and I shouldn't comment.
Campus Life
The campus is average but it is well furnished from inside. The college has NBA approval. The gender ratio varies as per department. The gender ratio is almost equal or more for girls than boys in CSE department. The figures gradually decline as you go down the line. It is absolutely nil in mechanical department where 99℅ of students are boys. Workshops are good. No party or politics in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The college doesn't provide hostel facilities. You have to live on your own in a PG system or a mess system around the college. To stay in a pg where I live, the cost is around 5-5.5 k per month(everything included). If you stay in a mess it might cost a little bit less. The food quality is average. The water supply is also average.
Alumni/Alumna
The ECE has the most dominant alumnus network and the senior wing. The alumni visit us regularly and gives lectures about to dos and to do-nots. This is a very important thing I like about this institution.
Admission
Through WEBJEE counselling.I had filled up the form from WEBJEE site available from month of December. You have to sit for exam in month of May generally. Dates are pre announced. Then if you qualify, you have to fill up choices for colleges accordingly. Finally you will get your college by the end of June if you are eligible for counselling.
Faculty
A few teaching faculties are extremely good and beyond comparison. Most of them are good and know there subject quite well. A few teacher faculties lag behind and they need to catch up especially in their communicating skills.
