Remarks

I only have one regret that my final year project was destroyed by my hod and a batch mate.I was a smart student but my hod wasn't able to understand that. But i enjoyed a lot in haldia. I miss those days badly. I can't forget those days a passed in my hos

Entrance Preview

I got admission through WBJEE. I have always wanted to study core subjects specially mechanical engineering and as hit has a good reputation in that department i didn't waste any time to get admission. The admissions procedure was easy and clean. After counselling our class started from 4th august we had to reach one day before the date to get admission in hostel rooms.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was divided into 8 semester with a period of 4 years. About the faculty strength i will say its quite better. Most of them are well qualified. Some of them are very helpful kind and friendly while many of them are not. About my fellow batchmates seniors and juniors they were always very helpful and co-operative.

Internships Opportunities

My internship experience was moderate. Aming the two vocational training first one gave me a good experience and knowledge while the 2nd one failed to do the same. My project was destroyed due to my depertmental hod and one of my fellow project partner.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunities in the year in my depertment when i was admitted was about 200%. about 90% student got placement through campassing. but after that the local party changed and that brought a great effect on the placement percentage. When we got passed there was plament about 50%. but now in 2015 the percentage has grown up again. As far i heard its about 75-80%.

College Events

4

Collage fest is a awesome and may be the most gorgeous festival. It lasts about a week. Beside that there are cultural programme a very enjoyable bishwakarma puja, swaraswati puja also adds some more days of joy and apart from these there are breath taking inter collage and intra collage tournaments.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. Education loans are available to complete study in hit. As hit is one of the top collages you can easily available one the education loan offering by several banks. But before you pick do check and compare between various schemes and then choose the best plan accordingly you.

Campus Life

3.5

I enjoyed all the 4 years of my collage life. It is like a dream time of my life.I did plenty of new things there. haldia a calm place where you get a stunning riveside of river haldi. the locality is not too developed so you get a test of a village. We used came out of our hostel after dinner and go on walk under the moonlight with a bottle of beer in our hands. Our hostel was a 6 flooded building. When get to the top roof u can see the whole haldia city. Our hostel was the highest spot there. and how can i forget the breeze of haldia. Wind is the most active thing there. It takes away all your tiredness and make you fresh. The most popular food was bhaja maggy with dimer poch (fried maggy with poached egg). Anyways there are hell lot of things to do in haldia. It would never end if i start to point out all of them.about labs those are much better than any other private collages in west bengal. As it a residential collage boys were more in number than girls but some department like ece, cs, ft, bt, eie has a good percentage of girl student.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels of hit are awesome. We were in balaji hostel. a brand new hostel which was built that year. The hostel fee wasn't too much. It was 1k per month. Food of our hostel was very very bad while food in some hostels inside the collage campus were awesome

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network aren't that strong in hit. I hope it becomes active. about the seniors i didn't have much experience. As our hostel and seniou hostel were different. Beside our hostel there was a senior hostel but they didn't disturbed us much as from tha year the antiragging committee was too strong. Some one of them were good where some were jerks.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
