Remarks

There are good process for registration in our college. After your selection. They give you a college admission performa in which you have to fill your complete details like your JEE marks, Ranks, your personal details and some affidavits. They provide you education loan facility at the time of admission. So you can say there are very easy process to take admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

There were 2 exams in a semester... At first you have to give mid term which is organised in between a semester and Final Exam which is organised at the end of a semester.Level of exams was so good. It was not so easy to pass it. You had to study deep to make it easy.

Internships Opportunities

There were many projects ran by students. AutoCAD software related programs and many skills related program is run by college students snd faculty also. A students can understand much better by these projects and skill based programs.

Placement Experience

Percentage doesn't matter in these type of colleges the things which is matter most is Quality. If you have any special quality then anyone can't stop you to get placed. My plans was so different. I wanted to go for civil services so I choose another way.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got Top 12 student category rank in SC category in my first year. I have taken an educational loan from SBI bank which is situated in this college campus. And i got a placement in Alstom company. Which is situated in chandigarh. And this is a electric core company.

Campus Life

There are many social groups are run by college students like Mission Bharat in which they educate children. And there are many clubs like PR club, dance club ,music club . Some of the student created their own apps which is available on play store now.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel registration process is so simple..you choose any room in hostel and fill a registration form and take hostels. If you take a rented room then you have to pay 2-3 k per month for a single room.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment.
