Remarks

The college should improve it's Placement activity and should reduce Attendance criteria.

Entrance Preview

I opted for Joint Entrance Exam for Engineering. This college has Autonomous status. It has ranked 7th in Maharashtra.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum is very packed. It is so packed that in given semester time it doesn't completes. So many important topics are called for Self learning. It doesn't focuses on the research facilities. We get grants for research but approach of faculty is not so positive.

Internships Opportunities

Our college doesn't provide any Internship through them. They provide us with letter head and we have to search company by ourselves.

Placement Experience

2.5

The placement cell does moderate work. It is not so extraordinary but not very low class. Companies coming for campus are Bharat Forge, TCS, Infosys, L&T, Bajaj allian, ect the packages are around 2.5Lac-3.5 Lac. But there are very good student preparations for govt. examination.

College Events

2.5

Our college helps us to impart technical education and research skills in close interaction with industry and society for the development of young minds, sensitive to ethical and environmental issues. Virangula is a non-technical festival. Every department has their own technical event. Avarage participation

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees are 1.09 lakh per year for open category students hostel accommodation is for Rs.17,000/- Deluxe accomodation is for 24,000/-fees are somewhat expensive but facilities are satisfying. The fees for categories are discounted by government. The procedure is though very hazy.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes. College gives scholarship to Cast students and Handicapped students. It helps to acquire loans through various banks.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is awesome except their is a sugar factory near college. So sometime odour can be problematic for some peoples. Their is strictly no gender discrimination. We have diverse environment with students from South Sudan. College participates and have won many Go-kart championships, Supra, BAJA, E-Yantra, E-bike, etc. Their is not so much politics involved.

Hostel Facilities

5

We have facilities of stay and food. RIT promise provides parental care to boys and girl students residing in the hostel. The boys hostel accommodates around 600 boy and 400 girls girl students can be accommodated in the ladies hostel. Six messes ensure quality food and Aquaguard system is installed for drinking water. Hot water through solar system is provided at every floor. Uninterrupted power supply is provided with the help of generators. Not to forget we have JIONET, 1 year prior two whole world. Also college have independent server with 150Mbps line.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is moderate. Their is separate portal for Alumni on college website through which we can contact them. Some of them are entrepreneurs and some of them are on very high ranking i am M&M, Volksvagon.

Exam Structure

The exams are in three phase in semester Exam(ISE) : 20 Marks per Subject for Five subjects per semester. This marks are given on Oral examinations, Student attendance and Behaviour in class and assignments basis. Mid Semester Exam(MSE) 30 Marks per Subject for Five subjects per semester there are two exams in two months in between semester of which 25x2=50 marks are converted to 30 marks. End semester Exam (ESE) 50 Marks per Subject for Five subjects per semester 2-3 Practical Subjects exams for 100 Marks.

Admission

I was selected through CAP rounds in Maharashtra DTE board selection procedure. I gave college preference list for admission in Electrical Engineering. They selected me through first merit list in June-2014. At the time of admission college was very supportive though the procedure is too hazy.

Faculty

3

Our faculties are well qualified and have M.Tech. Many faculties are Ph.D. holders. Many have published research papers in International journal. Staff is highly educated but they lack in teaching ability. They lack in Paper assessment and not so student friendly.
