IHM mumbai the best college for hotel management.

The college has very gud faculty and provides good exposure to students the only thing bad is that the college size is a little small and there is no hostel alloted to first year students.

I gave an exam called NCHMCT. I don't what my score was but I got a AIR 645. I chose this college because this is the top college for doing hotel management and was focused to go in this particular college only.

All the subjects that are thought to us in the college are required for a good concept building of the course. we study all the subjects that are part of the curriculum and that are required in the hotel management field. we have to study all the subjects for all the 3 years. They make us study all the subjects so that we become all rounders and can choose any field ahead in this line without any worries. The faculty in this college is the best than all the colleges out there. This college has the most expierenced faculty for each subject. We also have our practicals based on the subject that are taught by the same teacher in a very good environment. The practicals give us a lot knowledge about the field.

we have to do internships in our 3rd semester. Our college recommends some outstanding students to hotels which are outside our country, rest all of the students have open choice to choose any hotel and to work with it. Internship is very important for us as we learn a lot about the different fields we study about in the college. And how the hotel works. Under what circumstances the staff works and many more things.

The placement of our college is the best. the students from our colleges go the top international chains hotels with a big package.

All the festivals from around the country are celebrated in the college. Many sports events occur in the college.

As this a government college so it si a bit cheaper than other colleges and gives great education also.

The college gives concessions to students. This includes railway concessions and many more.

Campus life is good. Gender Ratio is slightly towards the males as the female students in the college are less. Students come from all around the globe to study in this college.

The hostel rooms are good. The food that is provided in the mess is sometimes very good and sometimes it can't even go below our neck.

Senior students are very helpful and help you understand how the college system works and they organize different events and motivate juniors.

The exam structureis very good. We are assesed by our practicals and the theory exams.

First I gave the exam. After 2 weeks the results were out. After about a month there are counsellings in 3 stages in which we finalize our choice of college we wan't to go in. Also in the counselling our 10th standard marksheet is checked as that is a proof for a student. After the choice is made we are allotted hostel. Then we pay our fees for the first semester along with the hostel fees. we get a provisional admission letter that we have to show at the time of admission in the college. You should keep it safe. Until your admission is done completely.then we have to report to the college just three days before the college is about to commence.All our admission procedure is done there. Filling of forms,etc. After the admission process the guy at the college reception will give you a instructions paper. It will have all the necessary items required by you in the college, and the right uniform to be weared by the student in the college.
