Decent College

It is a decent college. The placements are of an average level. Never got to have any physical presence in the college so the facilities present are unclear to me. It has been only 6 to 8 months after admission so I am still understanding the other things about it. There are many clubs in the college for extracurricular activities. The seniors are very good, supportive and helpful. The faculty members are also good and polite. Our college is autonomous i.e. they conduct exams on their own and is not dependent on the AKTU schedules.

I opted for this course because I have heard there is a lot of scope and opportunities in the IT sector. The faculty has enough members for different subjects that can teach different branches within the time limit required. All faculty members have a good qualification, every member has atleast a masters degree and many have doctorates too. The exams were delayed due to the pandemic but generally, exams are held in a timely, the exams this year were not of very great difficulty either.

I don't know much about internships here but seniors say that they start getting these in the final year and it's good for experience and resume to get a better job. Since I am presently in my 1st year I cannot tell much about the internships and jobs but the companies are average packages are average and are better than most of the colleges.

Students are eligible for internships and placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Company that visits generally is TCS. The highest package is 9 to 12 LPA. My plan is to apply for Off-Campus placements. There is nothing more that I could tell.

Nothing much to say the fees are not very high as compared to the other colleges but it could have been a little lesser if the college would not have taken some pointless charges like the hostel fees because no one went to the hostel because of Covid-19 even then the college charged us with the hostel fees. Otherwise, everything is good.

There are many clubs and many events are organised in the college for diverting mind off all-time boring studies. All these clubs are run by the seniors. There are regular competitions organised by these clubs and groups.

We get a bed, a study table in the hostel room. I do not know about meals since I never lived in the college until today due to Covid-19. Registration for a hostel is done at the time of admission and is not very expensive.
