Remarks
I applied for Thapar university and SMVDU but due to repotation and placements I chose Thapar university for my BE programme. Different criteria were there in combination , So i was just fell under one and got the admission. It was sooth enough as different dates were provided (expected) to get your turn.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was very fond of solving electrical circuits and hence i chose to pursue my career in it. There are lots of well- educated and well-qualified Faculty who provide quality education. and faculty to student ratio is quite huge like sometimes for 150 students 1 faculty is assigned but somehow teachers manage to teach. since the quality of education is very good and so is the level of exams. You can't stop them just with one day but a rigorous hard work
Internships Opportunities
Many great companies come for internships, but for technical like cs only on this campus so don't be scared of it. But yes you have to struggle for nontech profiles. There are plenty of project oppurtunities for students under the guidance of esteemed teachers fully funded by Thapar.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good for cse candidates as 100% placement gurrantee is there, for core branches it is quite low as not many companies come these days to hire freshers so choose wisely and accordingly
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike is 10% for new students and 5% for old students for every student which is i guess a bit more for students who are studying using loan funds. Toppers 10% from each branch are provided with scholarships every semester, so you have to be good enough for this.
Campus Life
There are plenty of annual fests in college. from saturnalia to internship fairs, food fests, and hackathons you won't ever get bored throughout the year. The library is huge enough with plenty of books of every genre. Excellent sports and curricular activities with huge grounds and great coaches.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is very good and so is the food, you are treated with sweets in your dinner. The menu is decided by the students committee which is a quite good thing. I am very much reccomended to get a hostel life.
