Remarks

The admission process was very simple in that we were just required to register over the university website and then after we were supposed to apply to any college of our choice based on cut off points eligibility. I had only applied to Hansraj college and got admission there only. This Obc quota helped me get admission easily with a best four score of just 95% in the second cut off. The admission criteria, based on cut offs released, during the second cut off was around 97.25% for the general category and 94% around for Obc quota and there was no age restriction. A month later, when we attended the counselling session of our college, we got to know our college's prestigious history, its geographical features, facilities it provides like a library, sports, extra curricular and many more. Thereafter, when we joined our regular college sessions, we really enjoyed it studying and playing along with our friends.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose to pursue B.Com(H) as an undergraduate course as I have a keen interest in accountancy. Also, after joining the college, I felt that I have made a good decision. We were also given the freedom to choose any field of the subject as an extracurricular. Though there are a large number of students for each of their courses, there is also a sufficient number of faculty members. And, the teachers there are highly qualified and are masters in their subject field and hence they can easily teach the subject to their students and often help them understand the topics by using suitable examples. Talking about the pattern of the exams, is a central university, the exam schedule and its syllabus. Hence the exams are timely scheduled and are often easy to pass if you have the basic knowledge of facts and topics.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many companies and firms are offering a diverse range of internships to name from. They often provide roles like content writing, sales and marketing, operations manager, consulting, web development, web designing and many more. Students enrolled on these roles have great experience working there and also get to know about their roles much better by doing daily tasks and projects.

Placement Experience

4

Students become eligible for Campus placements from their 5th semester. They may apply to any job profile and company of their choice and get an opportunity to work with them. Some of the famous companies that provide offers to our students are Zomato, Deloitte, KPMG, and many more. The highest package at our campus varies from around 25 LPA TO 35 LPA and the average package is around 6 LPA. Some of the famous job profiles offered are junior Consultant, marketing, auditing, sales, and many more. The percentage of students that get placed through on-campus recruitment is around 50-60% of people who apply for them. My personal objective after getting the undergraduate degree is to work for a few years with a corporate firm and then own a small business in the food industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees setting policy at our college is very affordable for every course and the cost to study remains stable throughout the course duration. Along with this, a scholarship is also awarded to top performers of the year. Along with that, if any student is still facing any problem with the fees structure, they may also get special concessions. Also, it regularly provides a variety of jobs and internships opportunity through their online portals and also handle their student's grievances related to such internship/ job opportunity.

Campus Life

4

Life at our campus is also very good and we had a great time studying out there. Their annual fest and vocational programs are also very interesting and we got to meet various famous personalities through them. These programs are regularly organised by college society groups. About the library, it's often sanitised and clean and has a large number of diverse books available there. Many books are even available with different editions and they are efficiently organized on basis of their field of subject. Also, we can easily get those books issued and take along the books with us for a week at no cost. For the amenities in the classroom, there also we get large rooms with wooden benches and air conditioners in all rooms. The sports are also being well promoted at our campus and we can play any sport we want at our large field sized playground. They often provide sports equipment to the students for playing their favourite games, like chess, football, archery, cricket, and many more

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
