Remarks

The admission process was pretty much simple. All the things were done online. First of all you have to get your percentage verified from college to check your eligibility then you have to wait so that college can verify your documents and confirming your admission. In the evening you wil get a confirmation mail from DU and you have to pay the fees for confirming your seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose B.com Hons because it is pretty much similar to my CA course that I am doing side by side. The student teacher ratio in college is around 30:1. Teachers are well qualified, most of them are doctorates and DU alumni. They have great experience and teaching methodology is also up to the mark. Exams happen 2 times in a year and it is not difficult to pass the exams because of the ten years and Previous year papers.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 16100 per year

Internships Opportunities

The college Placement cell provides various internship opportunities to students. Some companies like- VIRAL FISSION, TIBEVIBE, UNNATI, HUNDRED PLUS, UNSHOOL, PROMETHEUS etc. There is an annual job fair and internship drive and apart from that various internship drives for students.

Placement Experience

Colleges have a decent track of placements, mostly final year students are eligible for placements and all other students are eligible for internships from the college. Various good names visit campus is- Byjus, Amazon, ICICI Bank, Decathlon, Unshool, and various other startups. The average package is around 4 lakh. Around 60% of students who seek jobs get a campus placement from our college. I will complete my CA.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is as such no fee hike limit in DU colleges. The fee is also minimal as compared to various IP and private colleges. Financial assistance and scholarships are given to students who cannot pay fees. Even in covid times, college waived the fees of various students who were not able to pay. The college has a separate placement cell that provides jobs and the average package is 4 lakh

Campus Life

Du colleges are well known for their campus life and this is proved by our colleges. It is considered that even semester is the semester for fun because there are lot of college fests, society fests which student enjoys a lot. The College library is well equipped with all types of Books, Journals, Readings, Research Papers and even the facility of the E library is there in our college, College infrastructure is also up to the mark. Shyam Lal college is well known for its sports facility college provides coaching of various sports like Cricket, Kabbadi, Hockey etc. There are various societies and clubs in college for the overall development of students.

Shyam lal college not on my wishlist

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Dyal Singh College: The Good, The Bad and The Confusing

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Honest review of SLC

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

I wanted to pursue Bachelor of Computer applications. I applied in GGISPU. It's a private college and my rank was 300 among 2000 students who reapplied. I was given Jagannath college but due to fee and dates i didn't got it. Du was second option. I never wanted to be part of government college because they were very far. The government college i wanted was in pitampura but I didn't got it too. The admission process Cuet If you didn't filled the cuet form so they open it again. Fill that form. They keep reopening the admission forms. For a while even if you miss. I only gave three exams Ip English Ge that's it. The admission experience was very messy because I got it at the last stage. My Shyam Lal College POV Memories

I choose this college because this college is most nearest Delhi University college from my home. I got this college because of my CUET marks and the preference list I made in CSAS portal. Cut off for my colleagues is not very high therefore students who want to get a good college and not expecting to get the north campus college prefer my college and the same reason I chose this college. Mostly bachelor of arts and Bachelor of commerce students prefer this college and only few students choose bachelor of science course provided by my college. I think roll colleges for the part it's pieces very high has compared to North campus colleges over the same course for example fees or my course in this college is 30000 while in North campus college it is around 17000 for first year students...Read More

Honest review of SLC

I chose BBA ( general) with this course bcz shyamlal college is very famous as I think and the faculty staff is best for student, and one of the main thing for student is travelling system.... This college is very near of Welcome metro station so we can travel with metro to avoid disturbance... Let's talk about admission process-- we have to visit college or a website then choose a course which you're going to do.. then fill the form with double check ...
