I took KEAM entrance examination to join this college. The only reason i joined in this college, because its the best college in Kerala for computer science students. The college also has an excellent placement record.
Internships Opportunities
No, Our college doesn't provide internships of any sort. Students are approched by various companies offering them internships. We all does internships in those companies.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There are three types of seats available in Model Engineering College. Merit 35000 per year, Management - 65000 per year, NRI - 100000 per year. The merit seats which are received by taking the KEAM entrance examinations are feasible. The NRI seats which are received by the 12th class marks are pretty expensive in my opinion.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are lot of scholarships which are provided by the Govt of Kerala. Any students can avail these by going to their official site. There is also a scholarship named XSA scholarship awarded by the alumni of the college.
Exam Structure
We have 8 semesters during the course. First and second semester is combined. So we can say we will be having 7 university Examinations in total. For each university examinations we ave 100 mark university paper and 50 marks internals. We will also be having series tests and assignments to evaluate our internals.
Admission
I got admission in this institute by taking the KEAM entrance examinations offered by the Govt. of Kerala. After taking the exams, there was an allotment process similar to all other engineering entrance examinations. We could opt for the best college we like and we will be selected according to our ranks. My first option was MEC.
Faculty
The faculty in Model Engineering College is Excellent. All of them are highly experienced in their Fields They are very helpful in all our activities. There is also a very high interaction between the students and the faculty in our college.
