Best college for Maths in South Delhi

After my 12 board results, I applied for DU and was getting 5-6 colleges like Shivaji, DDUC and others out of which I chose Ramanujan because of its great faculty of Mathematics. I got admitted in the General category in the 4th cutoff which was 92%. For Mathematics course score of 3 main subjects including maths and one other subject was included. The admission process was easy and good with counselling provided on the same day followed by interaction with the seniors. All in all, it was a great experience.

Being good in Mathematics in school I chose this course. The faculty of the college for Maths department is great with 6 teachers for 40 students. The faculty members are highly qualified with PhDs from reputed Indian and foreign institutions. The teaching method is also good and innovative. Annually 2 Semester exams are there including the internals of 25 marks. The teachers are lenient in marking and it is easy to pass exams.

A lot of internships are provided by the college in various different roles like analyst, research analyst, social media manager, subject matter expert and a lot more. The stipend usually lies around 10-12k for maximum companies with other incentives and benefits.

In the college, there is a placement cell that looks over the placements and internships for the students. Every student is provided with a lot of opportunities for placements and internships. Most placements are for final year students with internships open to all. Every year lot of companies like ICICI, DE Shaw, Bajaj, Chegg, and many others visit the college for placements. The percentage of students getting placed is good. Around 80% get placed with the highest this year being 14LPA in stats course.

In the first year, the fees are around 24000 which keeps on reducing with upcoming years. In the final year, the fee is only 14000 for the entire year with financial assistance provided to students having an annual family income of less than 4 LPA.

College life is great. During the fest season which happens during Jan-April, there are n lot of events to participate in. Every department has its own departmental fest with the college main fest conducted last in April. The college also has a fully air conditioned library which is open till 5 in the evening. Every book related to the course, competition can be found here. The classes are also good and the smart tab is enabled. For sports, the college has a cricket ground, volleyball and a football ground. The gymnasium is also there inside the college. Every year sports week is conducted for all departments where various sports are played. For skill and personality development, there are a lot of clubs and societies like Dance society, Acting society, Music society, Bhangra regiment and a lot more. All in all life is fun and great in college.
