Remarks

There should be more freedom for first year students to explore things restricting them out of fear of ragging doesn't do any good.

Entrance Preview

Qualified through AIEEE , got a rank around 8300 and wanted to pursue engineering in computer science. after going through available options choose KIIT university as it looked promising.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is at par with any other reputed institution, along with very credible and supporting faculty, we were also given access to free wifi with laptops which made my programming learning experience better. there were surprise tests regularly to keep students in check.

Internships Opportunities

No, i am not sure if internship option is available, however there are faculties pursuing their M-Tech.

Placement Experience

5

In computer science and engineering we had 100% placement, i got into a very good MNC through campus recruitment, our placement department head has very good repo among students, there were programs before placement starts to prepare students for industry standards in fields of tech and communication.

College Events

4.5

When we entered the college as freshers, we were given fresher's party by our immediate seniors, it was very nice ice breaking event, seniors were very supportive still the college staff kept strict vigil so no one gets harassed, every end of the year the anual tech fest Kritansh was organised, it comprises of multiple events like coding rounds, gaming, blitzkrieg, and cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is on the higher side, in 2006-2010 batch it was close to 1.5L that included all hostel expenses, books, food, notebooks, laptop etc hostel was of very good quality food was below average books given were as per curricular. laptop was of IBM which is nice but was not of very high configuration.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were education loans available on fee letter given by college some of my friend availed it however i am not aware of complete details.

Campus Life

4.5

Hostel was inside campus so there was nothing as to travelling for hostilities gender ratio was around 30%, 3 girls for 10 boys lots of extracurricular activities of every kind there was nice basketball court, football field, cricket field, table tenis, gym, available college canteen has very nice food.

Hostel Facilities

3

When we entered the college, our hostel was the newest built and it was awesome. very nice interior, room were good however occupancy was 3 person per room we had good and large playground in front of our hostel and it was inside campus so security was not an issue in first year there were restrictions over timeline to enter inside hostel mess food was of below average quality.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is growing every day, there is very nice management for the same done by college, we get emails related to any event being organized for get together for alumnies many of my friend always attend these.

Exam Structure

We had mid sems and semester exams, total semesters were 8, 6 month for a semester mid sem and end semester included labs as well weight for mid sem and end were 30% and 70% respectively before mid sem there were surprise tests as well and class tests.

Admission

After filling preference in AIEEE counselling , i got my admission confirmation for the college, went to college and depositing initial fee and other formalities were done smoothly. guided by very supporting staff was given tour of the college as well to me and my guardian, we checked the hostel and college campus and found it upto the mark.

I have great respect of our computer science department head, he was very cooperative, always ready to help in any matter, and very talented. faculty of other subjects like operating system, database, network programming and security, lab teachers were all highly skilled and motivated.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.
