Best years of my life

I only applied to Acharya Narendra Dev College and I was eligible to take admission here moreover it was not so far from my house. It took me 45 mins to reach the metro as Govind puri was the nearest metro station. No, I didn't avail any quota. Admission criteria for my program were 60% marks in aggregate with 60% marks in Computer Science and Mathematics separately or the equivalent of CGPA as per University norms wherever it is applicable. The admission process was quite smooth the Admin staff, seniors and all the teachers were very polite and it hardly took me half an hour to complete my admission procedure. Everyone was available to help.

I chose B.Sc Physical Science because with this course I had the option of Computer Science as well and I was interested in computer science and I have done my major in computer science only that is B.Sc Physical Science with computer science. We had more female teachers as compared to Male teachers and the student ratio in our course was 50:50. 50% girls and remaining 50% comprised of boys. Our teachers were highly qualified and had excellent teaching skills. The method of teaching was Highly appreciable. It was not difficult to pass exams if you studied well and paid attention in class. The exam was timely conducted every 6 months as we had 6 semesters in all including exams.

Every year different companies came to our college to provide internships with a minimum stipend of 5000-10000 rupees for various profiles such as a Business Development Intern., Data Analyst, Sales and Marketing Intern, Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing and other profiles related to IT background.

In our college students become eligible for campus placements from 3rd or their final year. Various renowned companies such as Concentrix, EY visited our college and made offer upto 70-80%. The highest package for various profiles such as IT background was 12 lakhs and the average package was 5 lakhs. Every year 80 % of the students of our college get placed. I graduated in 2018 and now working with an IT firm as an Analyst.

Our fee for this course was very nominal. I paid 9000 in first year 7000 in second and 5000 in last year each year it got decreased and we were even refunded some amount in form of security. Our College provided various scholarships such as the D.C Arora scholarship on a meritorious basis which I got in my 2nd year and 3rd year. Our college also provided financial aid to those students who could not afford college fees and other expenses.

Every year fests were organised, sports and the annual day was also celebrated. Fests were organised in the month of Feb and March for different departments. We also had various clubs and societies in our college such as dance, drama, arts, photography etc. All of the classrooms had Blackboard and digital board or smart classes. Our college has a big library with almost all the books. Each and every book related to every single course was available in our library. We had various sports equipment and a huge ground for playing any kind of outdoor sports such as cricket, basketball, volleyball etc. We had various competitions every now and then such as creative writing, essay writing, painting and many more. All the club's of the college were handled by Students we also had a student community for solving all kinds of grievances of students and also Abvp. Every year elections were also Held for different positions.
