Remarks

I applied to the Government College of Engineering, Keonjhar for B.tech in Computer science and engineering. I got admission to this college according to my JEE mains rank. The admission criteria depend on the jee main rank if your rank is between 2 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs then you can easily get admission to this college Counseling arrangements were very good and well-maintained everything was done in a systematic order.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose Computer science and engineering because I had good knowledge related to technology. The faculty is very good due to covid currently classes are being held online. Terms exams are held on time and papers and a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

College offers many opportunities in every field like sports computer quiz and other activities. I am not yet in an internship but I am planning to do something related to its department because I have an interest in it.

Placement Experience

From the 6th semester, students get eligible for placement many companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, and other big companies come for hiring average starting package offered is 3.5 lakhs to 4 lakhs. Nearly 85% of students get placement every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hostel fees 32000/yr and education fees 28000/yr. Companies like Tata, Mahindra, TCS, and other big companies come for placement And every year nearly 85% of the students get placement from the college.

Campus Life

The College has a very big library which Is open for all and all study-related materials are available there. Students can borrow any book and should return it at a proper time. The college organizes many tech fests. For sports, the college has two big playgrounds where students can play freely. College has clubs like a raw club, nature club, dance club.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel room is pretty good neat and clean. Each floor has nearly 20 rooms and 2 washrooms rooms are big enough. No issue with water. Mealtime is fixed and is never delayed. A good quality meal is provided and with variations also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Placement Experience:

So from 7th semester plcements are starting.Various Tech and Non Tech companies are also coming like TCS ,Accenture, Cognizant, Delloitte, InfoSys, KFinTech, Incture, GyanSys, Iserveu for Tech branches. and PRADAN, Aditya Birla etc for Non tech branches. Students also getting offers from OffCampus like RedHat ,CISCO ,Amazon ,Google. From On Campus Highest Package goes upto 12 to 15LPA and lowest is 4.5 but average is 5 to 6 LPA which is comperable. And about almost all are who are opting for placements got placed eventually.

After 6th semester the students get eligible for company placement. There are huge companies visited every year for the placement and many big MNCs like Amazon offers 100seats , Wipro offers 200, detollite offers 100, microsoft offers 10, ITC offers 150 , Infosys offers 300, TCS offers 200, Flipkart offers 150 and many more . Every year almost 80% of the students get placed at a good company with a minimum of 4 lakhs . After getting the degree I am planning to get placed in a multi national company like Amazon or Microsoft

Placements are ok but majority of the placement are for the IT and Cse sectors, but there are some core companies which offers a good packages. Around 40-50 % students pare placed in the companies and more over most of the students are up for the higher studies and cracking GATE exam.

See basically you placement depends on you .If you work hard you will get placed with a good package.In our college last year the avg package for CSE was around 13 Lakh per annum and highest was about 39 lakh per annum.Companies like Amazon,oracle Microsoft etc visited our college .After 4 th or 5 th semester i Think we are all capable of getting placed .

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I've applied for vssut burla and cet bhubaneswar.but I've got in this college and this course from the starting.
