Adamas university : Path of success

I have searched some universities like - the University of Calcutta, Presidency University but I didn't select any of those universities because of their backdated syllabus. I took admission to Adamas University in the year 2020, on 3rd August. The admission process of Adamas University was through their own personal admission test known as the "AU Admission Test". I have not availed of any quota for admission. The minimum criteria for admission in M.Sc. Geography is 50% marks in Graduation in B.Sc. Geography. The University provided the admission test through online mode due to the covid-19 situation and the counselling process was very good.

Geography is the "Mother of science" and it is also my favourite subject. I wish to build my career in the field of GIS and Remote sensing so I have chosen this M.Sc. Geography course of Adamas University to pursue my higher study in Geography. The Department of Geography of Adamas university provides a very advanced and practical based syllabus. The best thing about the Department of Geography at Adamas University is the highly qualified faculty members. Currently, there are 8 faculty members are present among whom 7 Professors, Specialized in different branches of geography and 1 Laboratory assistant. They are very efficient in their work and they strongly believe in helping their students with full support to give them a bright future. This is a 2 years course with 4 semesters. Each semester has one Mid-Semester and one End-Semester Examination once in 3 months gap. Along with that continuous class, assignments are there for the students to monitor their understanding of the subject.

Department of geography Provides various Internship opportunities in the institute like - National Atlas and Thematic Mapping Organisation (NATMO), Indian Space research Organisation, Regional Remote sensing centre (ISRO, RRSC east), Meghalaya Institute of Natural Resource, Wipro Kolkata, Cactus Pvt. lmt etc. These are mainly non-paid internships

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.

The fees structure for this course is a bit high (215000 in 2 years). 30000rs is the Registration fees and 412000 is the fees per semester. The university offers Chancellors Scholarship for students who have received more than 9.5 CGPA. The university has a dedicated placement department and Creer development cell for the placements of the students which is very active. CDC(Career Development cell) continuously provide courses to groom the students and make them interview ready.

Adamas University has 120 acres vast green campus with 8 Schools and the campus is mesmerising, wrapped up in natural beauty. The department of geography has 3 dedicated laboratories (Cartography lab, Statistical Lab, GIS and Remote sensing Lab). The department of Geography also has a dedicated library full of knowledgeable resources for the student's access. Classrooms are very spacious, Airconditioned and equipped with modern learning technologies (eg. Projectors). Adamas university has a great social life and is Full of Students affairs activities with 9 Clubs (eg. Music club, Dance club etc.) also there are an Annual fest occurs Which is known as "ADINOVA" every February. The university has 3 big playgrounds dedicated to Cricket, Football, Basketball etc. There are food corners present on the university campus along with a dedicated canteen which provides delicious food.
