Kerala Entrance Examination, My Rank was 11007. I wanted to study in a govt engineering college and I got the branch which I like to study.

Calicut university syllabus was one of the wast and best syllabus in kerala. There were lots of elective subjects in our curriculum and by theory wise the subjects are interesting. My favourite subjects were e-commerce, numerical analysis , probability theory and data structures and algorithms.

In our batch campus placements were there and more than 5 people got placements in multinational companies like Infosys, proxys, huwawei etc in various locations like bangalore, chenai and cochin. They got very good offers for the positions, for example 6 lakhs for proxys, 5 lakhs for infosys etc.

Fee was feasible and I got stipend too (600 per semester). But actual fee was around 4000.

We were around 58 students in the class and 75 percent girls among them. Sports activities were good and I lead the cricket team and involved in the sports events like sprints long jump etc.

Most of the exams were hectic because we did not get enough time to complete the portions. Also we studied based on the books we got from the library and we did not have supervisions for most of the subjects because of lack of teachers.

First thing to get the admission was , we have to go to trivandrum , to the commissioner of examination office to validate our certificates and give options for the allotment if we are not eligible for the current allotment list. Based on the options given (preferred college and branch to study), there were many allotment lists and I got the admission in the college after third allotment.

We were the fourth batch in that college and we struggled in the first two years because of the lack of teachers for the subjects. Even lab facilities also were less. But the existing teachers were good and qualified enough with the educational qualifications such as PHD.
