Remarks

College management is doing great job and environment is quite good. They are trying their best and I think it is the best thing.

GATE. To study in IIT was my dream and I am happy that I made that.

Internships Opportunities

Stipend was 8000 PA experience was good in interenship.

Almost 100% students are placed and every one has good opportunity to go in one's choice's company.

College Events

Techniche is a annual technical festival and over 1000 students from various colleges and universities are participate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many scholarship are available and most of students know about them through college notice.

Gender ratio is not good but campus life is best. Sports facility and other things are great.

Hostels are in excellent condition and food is quite good. Fees is affordable.

A beautiful college

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent in my branch. But in recent times there is a dip in coming companies.Average package of my branch is 8 lpa and highest goes around 21 lpa. Almost 80 percent students get placed and others choose phd. My plan is to get a good package job.

I had qualified GATE entrance in 2016 and score 398. Gauhati University is the oldest and best university in the entire north-east. Gauhati University has more than 30 departments and known for its quality education. It is located in the capital city of Assam and have a very beautiful campus. Railway Station and Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is near by it. Its one of the best University of India i have visited in my life.

I chose IIT Guwahati because of a strong IIT brand , excellent placements and comparetively lower fees. Compare to other IIT's it provied good campus expreience and less academic pressure. Compare to other NIT's , private colleges ,IIT Guwahati stands out in every fields. I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level.
