Course Curriculum Overview
Course are quite old as they don't involve much technical aspects. But overall faculty encourage to try and involve in such kind of tools and softwares. Exams are conducted in timely manner and question level you can consider moderate ones
Internships Opportunities
Professors of Campus also provides research intership for the students. Apart from this, a regular internship drive os conducted every year for the Third years of B.Tech in their Fifth and Sixth Semester.
Placement Experience
From the seventh semester, one is eligible for Placements. This year(2024-25) 68 percent placement is done for B.Tech. Those who don't get placements either go for higher studies, UPSC, GATE, and some get job by referral from College Alumni.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you are paying the whole fees then it will be as follows: • 132100 for Odd Semester • 134200 for Even Semester So, total 266300 for each year Tuition Fees is 1,00,000 per semester and Mess Fee includes 20,000 per semester For SC/ST Tution fee of 100000 per semester is waived. For others, there is a fee waive provision based on Income, which is as follows: MEB Category: Yearly Income < 1,00,000 In this category tuition fees per semester will be waived fully OEB Category: 100000 < Income < 4,00,000 In this category one has to pay around 72000 per semester Apart from this, Institute also provides Scholarships based on Merit for one student from each Branch and they waive all tution fee of 100000 per semester
Campus Life
Techno-Management Fest, Technique held around August end and September start every year. Cultural Fest, Alcheringa helds around first weekend of February. Sports fest, Spirit helds around Oct or November every year. There are many clubs for Tech, Cultural, Sports and Welfare which provides a lot of exposure to taste.
Admission
I have applied for DTU & IIITD where I got Software Engineering Branch through the JEE Mains Scores. But since I was sure to join old IIT. I was not sure much about branches so, I just filled all the core and circuital branches of all Old IITs. I wasn't able get other top IITs as my rank in JEE Advanced was not that level. Admission Process: Involves early payments of fees before arrival to the Campus. Institute will call the Students towards the end of July for offline registration where one jas to present with their documents.
Faculty
Faculty to Student Ratio is around 1:18 Faculties are quite approachable and helping except few arrogant ones which you can find in every colleges. There are 2 major exams which are compulsory to conduct, i.e., Mid Semester amd End Semester. Apart from this a course instructor can conduct as many quizzes or surprise quizzes as they can.
Night Life
Each hostel has their own mess, canteen, juice center, stationary, sports room, TV Room, Library, and Gym. Canteen operates from 10 AM to 12 midnight. Some night canteens operates till 3 AM. One can visit City Centre Mall, Radhe Krishna Mandir, Dirgheshwari Mandir, Chandubi Lake, etc around the Campus and Guwahati
