I had finished my diploma and got direct second year admission in modern college pune in electrical departments.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is good i like technology so i had interest in electrical and all stuff so i took electrical as my branch. In this branch i learned many things like wiring, installation, capacitor, insulators, etc. the curriculum is good but the problem is with the mathematical subject we need mathematics in our subject but they should not give one more subject.
Internships Opportunities
Modern is a good college and one of the reputation college so many companies come for job interviews. Many of the ex students have got good jobs in good companies. I can't tell which companies came and all i have took admission just before a month so the companies offering job is really good which help students to grow them.
Placement Experience
I don't know exactly what is their procedure and all which companies came and which companies didn't came because i an new to the pse modern college of engineering pune. But i have listen from my friends and all that many good companies visit college for campus selection and all. Many ex students have got good packages around 10 lakh and all they have helped students to find a good job.
College Events
As being engineering college we have less events though we have technology reared events like robotics, paper presentations and all but they should also give events related to physical and strengths. The physical part always lag in engineering i was a good cricketer but after taking engineering it all fall sudden.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, there is scholarship and all but again that caste bullshit come in the way this caste system is worst.
Exam Structure
Exams are the worst things in engineering specially in pune university the exams will start now but the exam will be roughly for 1 month half month we have theory half month we have online. 50-50 marks which in we have to score 20-20 for passing they have made it all confusing and hard. Students love what they do but engineering is all about stress and studies.
Admission
I got admission on the basis of my diploma marks. There is a procedure were we fill option forms online on the site. There are 3 cap rounds and counselling round where i got the admission in 4th round. The procedure started around in the beginning of august and took too much time and ended in October beginning.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is good 99% are ladies. Regular lectures take place which is the most important thing, they take all the experiments and all which has impressed me. Most of faculty have completed their masters which an important aspects and they love their job they are well qualified.
