Remarks
I had applied to various other colleges as well such as SRM, VIT, Manipal, and others. I considered this college considering its distance from my city and the fee structure. I didn't avail any quota. The counseling process was quite fast and clear. The computer stream closed at approximately 250th rank and IT was also near it.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this stream because of my interest in coding and programming. The faculty-student ratio is far greater when compared to other universities. The class only consists of 60-65 students. Some of the teachers are qualified while some are not. The exams were timely according to the schedule except during the pandemic and the exams were fine, neither too difficult nor too easy.
Internships Opportunities
The companies that come for job offers come for internships also. Since I am a Computer Science student, I do not know for other streams but under Computer Science, the companies generally come for Web Development, App development, and mostly Software Engineering internships. I have had no internship and project experience as of now so I won't be able to tell that.
Placement Experience
Students can take part in internships from the 3rd year onwards and the internships may offer a PPO. Various companies have visited Bharati Vidyapeeth, Amazon, Microsoft, Capgemini, TCS, to name a few. The highest package is 52 lacs off-campus and 17 lacs on-campus. The average package varies around 5-10 lacs. Since I have just started my third year, I have no plans after getting the degree but I can tell you that more than 80% of students in the Computer, IT, and ENTC departments get placed every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike is minimal around 6k per year. The cost to study almost becomes around Rs. 10 lac, Rs. 5 lac being the college fee and the remaining being the hostel/flat fee. As of now, I haven't heard of any scholarships on campus.
Campus Life
There are a number of volunteer experiences and other clubs to join. The annual fest conducted is Bharatiyam that is conducted every March. The college has an extensive library with a variety of available books and journals. Classrooms amenities are not good, they can be considered just fine. The campus is huge and there are a number of playgrounds for various sports. If you are into sports, you will love this college. The various clubs are LEO, Rotaract, NSS, EDC to name a few.
