Btech ECE in JIS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, Kolkata

I applied in many colleges like Jadavpur, NIT's, VIT, BIT but seats were filled up in a very fast rate, my seat got alloted in the 1st round of the councelling process. I am a General quota candidate and i tried for tfw but could not get it. Admission criteria like age must be from 17 to 20 to get admission here, and marks of 75% or more in HS exam and also the cutoff for this college at WBJEE was 54,000. the admission process was nice and smooth, without any problem.

I was preparing to get into one of the core technological departments like CSE, ECE, or IT and i got happily alloted in ECE dept. in this college, the Faculty: student ratio is 1:4, We have highly qualified teaching professionals and we get to know about concepts very nicely in an innovative way. every 2 to 3 months we have our internals and semester examinations, and due to the thorough revisions and assignments passing was made easy, yet many more years to come ahead with new difficulties.

In the condition of lockdown i have no idea about internships, sadly I cannot throw light on this topic, but from the information recieved from my seniors, i would say that they get internships on software develpong programs along with web designing internships and many more.

for campus placements, students become eligible from the 3rd year with some good responses and activities, 95% of students get placed in the top best companies each year. Companies visited were Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. I am currently in my 2nd year I wish to get placed in similar popular companies, let's see !!

Per semester we have to pay 44,000 or 45,000 and total course amount is 4lacs, its not possible for everyone to afford the course and many of my batchmates including me study with an education loan, talking about placements, our seniors this year are just fantastic, they secured many companies like cognizant, Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, and many secured multiple job opportunities !! I am proud of my department for real !!

JISCE annual TECH-FEST is just awesome, it takes place in the months of february to march, we have book banks online from NDLI with free access to more than 7000+ books from many authors and we also have our college central library where we can issue any book and master its contents for free. there are many sports events like long jump high jump 100m 200m 300m race events etc indoor game events like 8ball, chess, ludo, carrom etc. are alo available. There are specific clubs like music club, dance club, sports club, photography club, trcking club etc. for each club there are specifics club website designed by the student itself.

Room for 2 tables and chairs a small varandah with windows and good accomodations, proper nutritious meal, with chicken fish egg rice chappati, etc. registration process for a hostel is from the college directly but we need to pay 5500 per month as hostel boarder. otherwise the locality and area is really safe and very nice and convinient.
