Remarks
I did my B.Sc in a CU-affiliated college. That's why my admission was done based on the marks I got in my B.Sc level. The number of seats is very low. So you need to get a decent score to get admitted. The non-CU candidates' admission is done based on an entrance exam. In that exam, one needs to score more than 50 out of 100 to have a higher chance of admission. But the number varies every year based on the difficulty level in the exam. Lastly, the admission is done based on counseling and the number of seats left. I only opted for C.U and I was very lucky to be able to join this college. The strength in my class was 14. Out of 14, only three were non-CU candidates.
Course Curriculum Overview
I did my B.Sc in microbiology. So I chose biotechnology which is more or less the same. In the biotechnology department, there are four teachers and fourteen students. All the professors were highly qualified. All of them have Ph.D. Their teaching methods are also great. Some of them are really friendly. This is a two-years long course. It is comprised of a total of four semesters. So there is a total of four exams. No mid-term examination is there. The difficulty level is moderate. You need to practice more to get a decent mark.
Internships Opportunities
You can get internship opportunities in different colleges and research institutes by your class teachers referral or else you can get on your own. It does offer you any placement in any company as it is a research kind of internship which will help you to gain experience for your future. You can do projects under any of the professors.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are very low compared to other colleges. For each semester we gave 3622/-. There are some scholarships available. Some of them are scholarships for single girl children and swami-Vivekananda merit scholarships etc. In the case of campusing it is pretty bad. No one in my class got placed. Even my friends in other departments also did not get any placement offers.
Campus Life
There is a Teacher's day celebration, Freshers welcome party and Farewell party in our department. There is a library in each department and you can find almost all books relevant to your background. For each year students, there is one classroom allotted to them. All the classes have a projector, an a.c, and also fans. There are multiple sports games on our campus like badminton, cricket, football, etc. One club is there which is run by students. Anyone can join there. It organizes different events in college.
