The admission process of Techno India Salt Lake occurs after WBJEE and JEE Main. Student can apply through any one of the mentioned. For WBJEE, rank holders from 2000-8000 can directly get sit and in JEE Mains, rank holder from 30000 to 70000 can get a direct sit. There are some quotas available, like management quota(for low rankers), sports quota etc. First, each student has to go to college one day which will be provided by college(should be known before via call/ any source). That day is for registration and confirmation, signing in anti-ragging formalities and getting the prospectus, money receipt for admission. Admission process is fully done at a second day, when orientation programme will be conducted. Student kit, dresses, bags and other stuffs will be provided and student will interact with seniors and corresponding faculties of their department.

I have chosen CSE because it gives so many opportunities to get a good job in today's modern world of technology. As a science student, first I researched about every streams in engineering and then I decided to opt for CSE. The toppers of joint entrances also belongs to CSE of each and every college. In Techno India, salt lake the faculty: student ratio is 1:60 for theory classes but for practicals it is 1:15(including Teacher Assistants). The faculties are from JU,IIT, NIT and some have also done PhD etc from abroad. Most of the teachers are very good in teaching but truly saying, not all. The exams are conducted every month which is internals or CAs. In Techno India, attendance is very crucial. Sometimes, students with poor attendance are not allowed to sit in internals. The final university exam is conducted by MAKAUT which is very easy to pass. But if you are a good student, you should work hard and try to achieve 9 point which is not at all an easy task.

Most companies offer job role of software developer, associate software developer, system engineer. If one has sound knowledge in Java/Python, DBMS and networking concepts with clear concepts of data structures and algorithms, he/she must clear all exams. For interview, very good communication skill is required to get a higher packaged job. Projects from web development, machine learning, android app development will help a lot to keep you ahead from others. But be very good at the domain in which you have will to work in the future.

During the third year of the course, students are eligible to sit in internship exam while campus placements with job offers come at the end of 6th sem. In my college, there is one student one job opportunity that is one student will be blocked if he/she accepts after clearing a job exam. Though every one can sit in dream slots(higher package jobs) after getting a normal package. Around 70 companies come every year with various job offers. Avg salary for CS/IT/ECE is between 5-6 LPA and highest package is 12+ LPA(offered by Nutanix, Amazon, Informatica) where two or three students can get chance. Though TCS Digital, microsoft, Thoughtworks, Byju's, Deloitte, GenC next, BMC comes with package of 6.75/7.5/8.3/9 etc. Virtusa, Odessa, GenC, LTI, Wipro, TCS Ninja gives 3.5/4/4.5 etc. Other department student get less offers and their avg package is in range of 3-4 LPA. Every year 10-12 students from every department clears GATE, IES etc. and some of them also choice M.Tech/ MS program.

In WBJEE if someone has come through TFW(tution fees waiver), he/she has to pay one fourth fees over 4 years course curriculum compared to others. But there are six TFW seats for every stream in my college Techno India Salt Lake. One who has more than 75 percent marks in class 12, they are eligible for many state govt. scholarships. The campus placements in Techno Main Salt Lake is very much advanced compared to other colleges of techno india group and techno india university. Companies like Microsoft, TCS Digital, Nutanix, Deloitte with packages of above 8-10 Lpa to mass recruiters like Cognizant, Accenture, TCS Ninja, Odessa, Virtusa, LTI with packages of around 4-6 LPA comes here. CSE, IT, ECE departments have placement records of more than 95 percent every year. But other departments like electrical, mechanical, civil has 60 to 70 percent placement records every year. Companies give 10 to 20 thousands stipend during internship before FTE.

There are so many clubs in our college like Geekonix( tech club), Eclectica( cultural club), Samaritans( social club) for maintaining every other field a college student should carry out. Edge is the tech fest of techno India and the second largest tech fest in eastern India(after IIT Kharagpur's Kshitiz). Anachronos which is the sports and cultural fest is most popular where celebrities are also invited. There is CurBrain society running by students for coding discussions and competitions whereas Samarth is for IES aspirants. Table tennis, carrom, chess are available in college common rooms and there are two grounds for cricket, football, athletics, badminton tournaments.
